Looking for an ideas and solutions of possible problems to be used as a part of pre-diploma practice for students who getting Network Engineering degree.

The important requirement: The problem must be solved by designing new device or software which incorporate(or improve) with existent device.

It's could be something industry specific, particular problem, etc.

p.s. The time for writing diploma is also limited by few month here, i.e. it's will be hard to solve very complex problems, but would be nice to hear something fresh :)
