Jumplists; Frequent and Recent parts always out of date

I really tried to figure this problem out, but my "Recent 5" and "All" Playlists of Win7's WMP12 never contain anything.
Also I have the "frequent" part of all the apps' jumplists filled with rarely-used or one-time-used options, also "recent" parts are rarely up-to-date and many recent files I've used are not mentioned in the jumplist's "recent" part.
