Profiler, Perfmon, DMVs & scripts are legendary tools for a DBA to monitor the SQL arena. In line with these tools SQL Server 2008 throws a powerful stream with policy based management (PBM) framework & management data warehouse (MDW) methods, which is a relational database that contains the data that is collected from a server that is a data collection target.
