Hi all,
I have a domain name with WebFaction. I created a new subdomain that I want to point to a local server behind a NAT firewall. I can change the DNS records of the subdomain. What do I change so the FQDN points to the local server?
Thanks,
Joe

I can't figure this out. I need to extract the second level domain from a FQDN. For example, all of these need to return "example.com":
example.com
foo.example.com
bar.foo.example.com
example.com:8080
foo.example.com:8080
bar.foo.example.com:8080
Here's what I have so far:
Dim host = Request…

This is a weird one, so I'll try to explain in as much detail as I can so I'm giving the whole picture.
As I've mentioned in my other questions, I'm in the process of setting up a new Cisco 881 as my WAN router and NAT firewall. I'm facing an issue where NAT NVI rules that I have configured are not…

I was thinking initially needing to do a reverse proxy or something so I could get some SSL/TLS traffic look like it is being terminated at a server and IP address in the AWS cloud, and then that traffic is forwarded onto our actual web servers that aren't in the cloud...
I've not done much iptables…
