500 - Internal server error on IIs 7.5 R2

Hey all, i have a windows 2008 Web Edition R2 VPS and i seem to be having problems with it pointing to my domain name. I get this error when i visit my web address:

Server Error

500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

I'm sure theres a configuration problem somewhere but i am currently unable to find it. And i'm also new at the windows server so any step-by-step help would be greatly appreciated!
