Today at the RIM WES conference, Ted Farrell, Chief Architect and SVP, announed the general availability of the ADF Mobile Client Developer Preview.  This is an extension to JDeveloper that allows developers to rapidly develop mobile applications that reside on the mobile device and access a local database and can be used while completely disconnected from the network with a data synchronization technology to get the data back to the server.  You can quickly develop applications declaratively that run on multiple platforms without having to do native coding.
