in Windows 7 File Explorer How do I turn off the hover effect on the file listing

When you put your mouse over a list of files the one under the mouse acquires a blue background, very much like the selected background, only slightly lighter. This leads to confusion, particularly when I didn't use the mouse it just happens to be over the window I opened.

Is there any way to disable this without disabling the entire aero theme?
