The definition of AudioBufferList looks weird to me… i guess my C is not so good

UInt32 mNumberBuffers;
AudioBuffer mBuffers[kVariableLengthArray];
};

Why
AudioBuffer mBuffers[kVariableLengthArray];
and not
AudioBuffer…
