Partition Label Problem after DD Image

After imaging a 100GB hard drive into an image file with dd, I dd'd the image to a larger hdd

After boot get mkrootdev: label / not found I have gone in with finnix and relabeled the partition to the same label with e2label and still have problems.

Has anyone resolved this before?
