how to make a NEWS -Reader app

hey, I'm a beginner and I'm trying to make a NEWS reader app. My idea is to make an app just like N.Y Times.

The question is : how do I access the news database and display on my native app ? If I make an RSS reader kinda thing, will I be able to display the contents of the news feed on my native app itself ?

Please, I'v been reading and trying different tactics but not really getting anywhere close to what I want.

A simple tip from you guys could really help me.
