We are currently looking for a new backup solution. Our current network is 5 remote location with a tape backup in each plant. Right now we are looking at a MPLS VPN and running backups out of our main plant. The main thing that we backup are user private folders and department files. And each plant has it's own file server that houses CAD drawings. My main plan is to have every thing but that CAD drawing at the main faculty. We would start with a main backup of the drawing files and then do change backups back to the main plant. Besides tapes what would be the best way to backup.
