Fiddler is an excellent tool for montoring web service traffic. It also will capture traffic to and from your browser.

Firefox needs no introduction from me, just be sure to go in firefox, Help, Check for Updates and make sure you have the latest. Since various browser exploits are about to be publicly discussed, there has been a recent flurry of browser updates, please be sure to get the latest in advance of exploits being made public.
