hi. i just downloaded the netbook version of linux on my lenovo, and i must say it is awesome! more user friendly than the windows os. i have run into a problem with my side panel launcher- i cannot click on the icon to open up the application. it seems to be frozen. i need help to get this unfrozen.

i was doing research on how to do so, a found a lot of answers about unity. what is it? and if i download unity will this solve the problem?
