Trying to install gnome 3 through ubuntu 11.10

I keep getting this error when I try to install gnome 3 from the software center-- The following packages have unmet dependencies:

gnome: Depends: gnome-core (= 1:3.0+1ubuntu1) but 1:3.0+1ubuntu1 is to be installed

I did install what they needed from this website https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/amd64/gnome-core-devel/1:3.0+1ubuntu1 but nothing really changed, I kept getting the same error message.
