This DIY build combines a bunch of off-the-shelf hardware parts for a cheap–both to build and run–continuous lighting studio lamp.

The build guide is heavy on details regarding the construction of the body but light on wiring details so you’ll definitely want to brush up on your basic socket wiring skills before tackling it. Otherwise, it’s a great guide to building an inexpensive continuous lighting setup.
