I have just set up a host which receives messages from 300b to 1500b (wrapped stx etx)and replies with the same. It works fine but some times it receives junk data. Is there anyway to monitor this out of band data just so we can make sure we are not receiving massive amounts of it. Also is it possible to monitor if connections time out - where the host did not reply in time or long connections where it takes the host 20 seconds to reply when it normally takes 5.

I am aware of IP monitor but I don't think it covers enough - Is there anything else or any other way?

Thanks in advance!
