Where are my Hard Drives/Local Disks on the COMPUTER/System Folder in Ubuntu 12.04?

Being first to try Ubuntu.

But Where are my Hard Drives/Local Disks on the COMPUTER/System Folder in Ubuntu 12.04?!

Before installing 12.04 i had tried the Ubuntu 10.10 Version Live and it was perfect in showing my Local Disks. But it couldn't recognize my GTX 470 Graphics driver so i thought of trying the recent version i.e 12.04. Fortunately it solved the Graphics driver thing but now i am stuck with finding My Local Disks on 12.04. I am sorry if this is a silly question, but i know nothing of Ubuntu at the moment.
