Ok, I burnt a cd and a jump drive and I want to install Ububtu on a windows xp computer. But the computer keeps showing the blue screen.... "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

Is there any way I can install Ubuntu still? Do I have to fix windows to be able to install it? And if so, does anyone know how to fix it?

I don't have the windows installation pack.
