When I do SQL Server training, sometimes students want to print all of the PowerPoint slides and use them for note taking during class. For such purposes, the background is usually better off being suppressed. This is most efficiently done by changing Print Settings as shown below: Personally I recommend that people take notes directly in the slides instead of printing them. PowerPoint has a notes area.
