I want understand how www.wookmark.com's popup done,

I want to do same thing but can't

I explained it in screenshot,

How can I made like this, what I need? I have tried open the post in inline div which made absolute, but the similiar post are opened in main pag, and not in popup div, how can I that the post(picture) , the next and the similiar images are opening in popup div?
