ltsp: install in chroot with GUI-Installer (lirc)

I am trying to install "lirc" into chroot. Installing lirc requires "answering 2 questions". I am on Ubuntu Desktop 12.04. (in Virtualbox) I try this way:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/GuiInstallLocalApp

but I had errors and then the server would hang on reboot. No big surprise, the guide says it is valid for 9.04.

Maybe I could create " debconf.seeds" ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/FatClients ) but I dont know how to. Could somebody point me in the right direction?
