Can't see default icons and the panel on the top

Unfortunately I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and I can't see default icons and the panel on the top. But the most fustrating that some of the icons sure in there place, because if i move my mause over where the icon should be (and click) options are jumping out:eg:suspend, shut down, printer... And i can open libre office 3 by clicking the place where it should be displayed. The other probel is the stalling. Anyone has an idea?
