Cancelled a format using diskpart at 0%. Can I get the data back?

I wanted to format my USB thumbdrive, but incorrectly did the following on my external HDD!!

CMD --> Diskpart select disk 2 clean create partition primary select partition 1 active format fs=fat32

While it was still at 0% however, I cancelled the format and quit from CMD. I can no longer see the HDD in My computer though, and it shows up as below in diskpart Disk 1 Status - Online Size- 1800 GB Free - 0B

Is there anything I can do to get the data and HDD back?
