Sockets: Transport endpoint is not connected on send

I'm trying to learn socket programming from http://beej.us/guide/bgnet/output/html/singlepage/bgnet.html and am attempting to build a SOCK_STREAM client/server. My client:

Upon executing the client, I get " send: Transport endpoint is not connected" and I'm not sure where I went wrong. Thanks.
