I can't log-in to WinSCP using username "root"

root
I can't log-in to WinSCP using username "root". I already change the password of "root" in Ubuntu, and I successfully log-in there. But in WinSCP, it goes like this
Search for host... Connecting to host... Authenticating... Using username "root" Authenticating with pre-entered password. Access Denied.
and I am need to re-type the password again. By the way I'm using VMware Player for Ubuntu. Thanks!
