  • What's port 1283?

    - by kbluck
I see a lot of connection attempts to 1283/tcp on my firewall from a client computer to a Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller. What exactly is this traffic? Something to do with NetBIOS, perhaps?

  • Bacula virtual backup job doesn't run, no output?

    - by Zoredache
I am trying to get Virtual Backups working, but when I try to run a virtual backup job, it appears to get created, but then never seems to actually run. I have a full, and a couple incremental backups. status director JobId Level Files Bytes Status Finished Name ==================================================================== 1283 Full 10,565 1.963 G OK 21-Dec-12 09:47 nms-Job 1284 Incr 314 129.6 M OK 21-Dec-12 09:49 nms-Job 1285 Incr 230 147.2 M OK 21-Dec-12 09:51 nms-Job 1288 Incr 525 138.8 M OK 21-Dec-12 11:25 nms-Job I attempt to start a job from bconsole like this. *run job=nms-Job level=VirtualFull Using Catalog "MySQL" Run Backup job JobName: nms-Job Level: VirtualFull Client: nms-FileDaemon FileSet: nms-FileSet Pool: nms-pool (From Job resource) Storage: File_d1 (From Pool resource) When: 2012-12-21 13:07:54 Priority: 10 OK to run? (yes/mod/no): Job queued. JobId=1291 Then my new job, just sits there, doing nothing. The JobStatus shows that the job was created, but it appears to never run? All the full, and incremental backups are terminating normally. *llist jobid=1291 JobId: 1,291 Job: nms-Job.2012-12-21_13.07.56_07 Name: nms-Job PurgedFiles: 0 Type: B Level: F ClientId: 4 Name: nms-FileDaemon JobStatus: C SchedTime: 2012-12-21 13:07:54 StartTime: 2012-12-21 13:07:56 EndTime: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 RealEndTime: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 JobTDate: 1,356,124,076 VolSessionId: 0 VolSessionTime: 0 JobFiles: 0 JobErrors: 0 JobMissingFiles: 0 PoolId: 19 PooLname: nms-pool PriorJobId: 0 FileSetId: 11 FileSet: nms-FileSet I am getting very frustrated, that this isn't working, mostly because it isn't giving me any error logs, or output at all. I submit the job, and as far as I can tell nothing happens. Is there some status, or debugging level that I can set to get a useful information about why this isn't working? What can I do to make this work? I was originally running Bacula 5.0.2 on Debian Squeeze, out of frustration, I upgraded to the 5.2.6 in the backports repository, hoping that a new version might give me better results.

  • ffmpeg - How to determine if -movflags faststart is enabled? PHP

    - by IIIOXIII
While I am able to encode an mp4 file which I can plan on my local windows machine, I am having trouble encoding files to mp4 which are readable when streaming by safari, etc. After a bit of reading, I believe my issue is that I must move the metadata from the end of the file to the beginning in order for the converted mp4 files to be streamable. To that end, I am trying to find out if the build of ffmpeg that I am currently using is able to use the -movflags faststart option through php - as my current outputted mp4 files are not working when streamed online. This is the way I am now echoing the -help, -formats, -codecs, but I am not seeing anything about -movflags faststart in any of the lists: exec($ffmpegPath." -help", $codecArr); for($ii=0;$ii<count($codecArr);$ii++){ echo $codecArr[$ii].'</br>'; } Is there a similar method of determining if -movflags fastart is available to my ffmpeg build? Any other way? Should it be listed with any of the previously suggested commands? -help/-formats? Can someone that knows it is enabled in their version of ffmpeg check to see if it is listed under -help or -formats, etc.? TIA. • How to send mail from ASP.NET with IIS6 SMTP in a dedicated server?

    - by Julio César
Hi. I'm trying to configure a dedicated server that runs ASP.NET to send mail through the local IIS SMTP server but mail is getting stuck in the Queue folder and doesn't get delivered. I'm using this code in an .aspx page to test: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" %> <% new System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient("localhost").Send("[email protected]", "[email protected]", "testing...", "Hello, world.com"); %> Then, I added the following to the Web.config file: <system.net> <mailSettings> <smtp> <network host="localhost"/> </smtp> </mailSettings> </system.net> In the IIS Manager I've changed the following in the properties of the "Default SMTP Virtual Server". General: [X] Enable Logging Access / Authentication: [X] Windows Integrated Authentication Access / Relay Restrictions: (o) Only the list below, Granted 127.0.0.1 Delivery / Advanced: Fully qualified domain name = thedomain.com Finally, I run the SMTPDiag.exe tool like this: C:\>smtpdiag.exe [email protected] [email protected] Searching for Exchange external DNS settings. Computer name is THEDOMAIN. Failed to connect to the domain controller. Error: 8007054b Checking SOA for gmail.com. Checking external DNS servers. Checking internal DNS servers. SOA serial number match: Passed. Checking local domain records. Checking MX records using TCP: thedomain.com. Checking MX records using UDP: thedomain.com. Both TCP and UDP queries succeeded. Local DNS test passed. Checking remote domain records. Checking MX records using TCP: gmail.com. Checking MX records using UDP: gmail.com. Both TCP and UDP queries succeeded. Remote DNS test passed. Error: 10051 Failed to submit mail to gsmtp147.google.com. I'm using ASP.NET 2.0, Windows 2003 Server and the IIS that comes with it. Can you tell me what else to change to fix the problem? Thanks @mattlant This is a dedicated server that's why I'm installing the SMTP manually. EDIT: I use exchange so its a little different, but its called a smart host in exchange, but in plain SMTP service config i think its called something else. Cant remember exactly the setting name. Thank you for pointing me at the Smart host field. Mail is getting delivered now. In the Default SMTP Virtual Server properties, the Delivery tab, click Advanced and fill the "Smart host" field with the address that your provider gives you. In my case (GoDaddy) it was k2smtpout.secureserver.net. More info here: http://help.godaddy.com/article/1283
