• grub rescue error:unknown filesystem

  I have a dual o.s linux(ubuntu 11.10) and windows 7.I have a problem in grub.I had done a mistake.In windows there is a option called disk management there i have deleted one of my partition and renamed it as M drive previously it was G drive. when i switch of the laptop and turned it on it is showing an error grub rescue error : unknown file system.please do help me i am struggling with this problem. please.i dont know what to do

• Others users deleting my folders

  Hi, I'm working in solaris server machine. More than 10 people are logged in to the same server machine.It take one hour for finishing the installation. But after the installation is over , some other user is deleting some of the directories and files in my installation folder. Is there any way to know who removed the files? Or atleast I want to know can I see the command history of other users.

• Windows 8.1 - Why are there multiple recovery partitions in the system?

  DISKPART> list partition Partition ### Type Size Offset ------------- ---------------- ------- ------- Partition 1 System 500 MB 1024 KB Partition 2 OEM 40 MB 501 MB Partition 3 Reserved 128 MB 541 MB Partition 4 Recovery 490 MB 669 MB Partition 5 Primary 920 GB 1159 MB Partition 6 Recovery 350 MB 921 GB Partition 7 Recovery 9 GB 921 GB Above is the list of partitions on my system that I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. Why are there multiple recovery partitions (4,6,7)? Shouldn't there be just one recovery partition? And what is the Reserved partition (#3) for?

• import utility in oracle

  i do export of an tablespace. This tablespace contains table1 with two rows say rowa and rowb/ now i delete rowb and insert new rowc into this tablespace. Now i do import of this tablespace. after importing i see the table1 in tablespace contains rowa, rowb,rowc but it was suppose to contain rowa and rowb. Can anybody tell why is this happening so?
