If you didnt choose any (empty isset?) then false.. else echo Y or N(what you picked)

Klik for at skrive</textarea><br /> Ja: <input type="checkbox" value="Y" id="SCvote" name="SCvote"> eller Nej: <input type="checkbox" value="N" name="SCvote"> Now onfocus (when you click on the box) it clears the text "Skriv hvorfor...", but if you dont write anything and still submit it, my php code thinks it contains something and inserts that text "Skriv hvorfor...". And another issue is the checkboxes. If i dont pick anything, it inserts "Y", even if i pick the other "N" it does "Y", and i dont want it to be possible that you can check both of them. how do i do?

I have my site on index.html made in html+css., at my index.html i have this div id "content", where you put in main content to the page, and there's a link at the menubar that src to page2.php. When you press on the link it goes to the page2.php, but i want it to display inside the < div "content". In page2 i have Hello this is a test, in a echo.. I dont want to use frames.. should i split up my design on index.php, and then on page2.php include top & footer? or is there another way

    If you guys check out this webpage: http://www2.scandvision.se/oresund10/ How have they done this background fade in fade out? When i check the source this <img id="wrapper-background" src="images/body-background-0.jpg" alt="Background" /> and i think theres some kind of script maybe php or js, or both, that every 5 sec changes the background: images/body-background-1.jpg images/body-background-2.jpg images/body-background-3.jpg and so on.. So how did they do this? an example would be great, as i want to learn how to do that. If i was going to do something like this i think i would only manage to do a script in php that randomize everytime you refresh. Thank you, this will expand my knowledge

  • Linking how PHP/HTML

    Hello. Alright so im done doing pages with frames, and know i splitted up my design to top.php and bottom.php. In top.php it's linking to style.css and ajax_framework.js and such.. Now this works great until i tried to include top.php & bottom.php in videos/index.php (another dirr), i did like this: include "../top.php"; <-- and the originally index.php --> include "../bottom.php"; Now when i enter the site, it wont load style.css, probably because it thinks that style.css needs to be in videos/ directory, same goes with ajax_framework.js that are both files are on the parent ../ directory. Now what do i do? Some method or technique to solve this in a good way? So i dont have to copy style.css and ajax_framework.js into every directory i have, because then later if i want to change something i would need to change in all directories, which would be my last thing i want to do.. hope you got some nice techniques thank you

    Hi, so I want to do something like when you press on LogOut, you get a waiting message like "please wait.." while its running ucp.php?mode=logout in the background, and after it has loaded that it should refresh the site. How should this be done?? I am new to jquery, but so far i gave my link a ID, called #logout, made a <div id="message"></div> and then in jquery i did: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ $('#tryout').click(function () { logOut(); }); function logOut() { var postFile = 'ucp.php?mode=logout'; $.post(postFile, function(data){ $("#message").fadeIn('slow'); }); } Now is this right? So right now I am using me of this: function checkpoints() { var postThis = 'checker.php?userid='+ $('#user_id_points').val(); $.post(postThis, function(data){ $(".vispoints").html(data).find(".vispoints1").fadeIn("slow") }); setTimeout(checkpoints, 5000); } This function repeats each 5 seconds (sending request each 5 seconds) and running the checker.php each 5 seconds, to show how many points you got. (checker.php echo out how many points you've got in a span class vispoints1). Now isnt there a smarter method doing this, instead of sending requests like this all the time.. I mean sites like facebook and that, they dont do like this to check if you e.g got a new friend request? Hope you can help me find a better method examples would be good too.

I have this check box, that when you check, then with jQuery toggle(); it hides that you see in first half of the picture (#writeComment) and shows #SCtryVOTE (what you see in the other half picture, to the right). Now i dont know why but of some reason it expands when its checked, why i dont know, is it because it needs more place than it have or? how do i make this work without having problems when its checked.   • How to do this in a smart way

    Hello SO. My websystem im coding with now is integrated from the originally phpBB system. With this i mean when you log on my websystem, you have actually logged into the forum from the login page. Now i came to the "log out" part, and i want to make it smart. Right now its a simply link with logout: <a href="<?php echo BASEDIR; ?>../../ucp.php?mode=logout&sid=<? echo $user->data['session_id']; ?>" style="margin-left: 14px; font-size: 10px;">- Log Out</a> As you see in the link it refers to the forum´s ucp.php?mode=logout, and you need to have the SID variable in it in order to log out right.. anyway.. I want to do this log out part in a smart way, i mean, not so you land on the forum´s "you have now been logged out", i want something maybe like run this page in background when you click, and then it refreshes the current page your on. Or should it be smarter just try to modify the phpbb file ucp.php? I think its hard coded, and not the way I am coding, so thats why i find it abit tricky. Thank you for your answers and examples on how this could be done, in a smart way..

    what i want to do is that when you vote Y or N (two different radio buttons) and then it inserts into the "vote" column(in database) = Y or N(what you pickd), if nothing then echo error. I know how to do this like halfway, i never worked with radiobuttons before so i need you guys.
