• How to populate object dependencies with routing bapi

  I'm using BAPI_ROUTING_CREATE to interface routing creation/changes from an external system. There doesn't seem to be a way to pass VC object dependencies for each operation. Does anyone know of a way to programmatically update object dependencies? I'd prefer to avoid BDCs if possible.

• How to fill a webdynpro table binded to a BAPI initially?

  Hello SAP-Gurus, im fairly new to webdynpro abap and have the following problem: I created a service returning a set of all existing customers. This function works well, if i test it in a litte program simply printing out the lines. now i created a webdynpro containing a table to display these customers. I also did the binding! AND it works, but only if an event fires the execute...function. What i need is kind of "execute initially", means that the function gets executed when the table initially loads. How can i do this?   We are having a BAPI that uploads the specified document to SAP. The BAPI accept three parameters: ID, FILE_LOC and FOLDER_NAME. And I'm setting the values as follows in the JCo code: JCO.ParameterList paramList = function.getImportParameterList(); paramList.setValue("101XS1", "EXTERNAL_ID"); paramList.setValue("tmp", "FOLDER_NAME"); paramList.setValue("D:/upload/foo.txt", "FILE_LOCATION"); But when I'm trying to execute the BAPI, am getting the following exception: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Exception condition "NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GUI" raised. at com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC$Client.nativeExecute(Native Method) at com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC$Client.execute(MiddlewareRFC.java:1242) at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Client.execute(JCO.java:3816) at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Client.execute(JCO.java:3261) The same BAPI is working fine if I execute through thick client(SAP Logon). But through JCo, its giving this error.

• Integrating Magento with SAP ECC 6.0 Backend

  I'm a freshly graduated (read: inexperienced) developer who's been tasked with determining the feasibility of integrating Magento with an SAP-based backend. No developer at our company has any experience working with either SAP or Magento, so I was hoping that the Stack Overflow community may be able to point me in the right direction with my research. We're a small company (four full-time developers) and the timeline on this project would be tight, so I'm trying to gather as much information as possible. The client has a tiered pricing structure, tax calculation logic, promotional deals, and automatic freight determination all implemented in an SAP ECC 6.0 system. They would like to migrate all their online stores over to Magento while continuing to utilize all existing functionality in SAP. The idea is to accomplish this by overriding certain modules in Magento to place remote calls to SAP BAPIs. I've investigated SAPRFC, which looks promising but relatively stale in terms of update frequency. Do any developers have experience using SAPRFC with SAP ECC 6.0 (with or without Magento integration)? If so, what were your experiences, and what were the biggest risk factors involved? Any comments, suggestions, or links to resources would be greatly appreciated.

• SAP .NET connector takes a long time to fetch results on first attempt

  I have an issue with the SAP .NET Connector I have built a web application (ASP.NET, C#) that connects to SAP BAPI procedure to fetch results from SAP database. I have connected it to SAP BAPI procedure and it also fetches the results for the web application. My issue is, during the first attempt it takes 25 to 30 seconds to fetch the results, but from the second attempt onwards the results are fetched with no time. I don't know exactly why it is taking so long to fetch the results on the first attempt. Can somebody help me with this?

  Hi! Is it possible to create my own mobile dashboard, reporting tool for SAP? I understand the standard components to be used for this purpose are: Business Objects Enterprise Server XI - this provides reporting functionalities for SAP Business Objects Mobile Server - this connects to Enterprise Server and optimizes reports stored there for mobile devices Mobile Web Browser or Mobile Business Objects Report Client - for viewing the reports I don't intend to purchase the components mentioned above. I only want to know if it's feasible to build my own solution. I am familiar with BAPI's to retrieve data from SAP. What is the proper approach to build an SAP reporting tool? Thank you!
