• Mount - Unable to find suitable address

  I am trying to mount my Windows share through my Ubuntu box (no xwindow), but I continue to get Unable to find suitable address I have tried using the raw IP address, I have checked the credentials, I have disabled the Windows firewall, but I cannot find anything wrong. benny@backup:~$ sudo mount -t cifs //my-desk/j -o username=me,password=s)mePasss /mnt/sync Unable to find suitable address. benny@backup:~$ ping my-desk PING my-desk (10.10.10.43) 56(84) bytes of data. ? --- my-desk ping statistics --- 2 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 1008ms benny@backup:~$ sudo mount -t cifs //10.10.10.43/j -o username=me,password=s)mePasss /mnt/sync Unable to find suitable address.   I was wondering, is it possible to make my own customized version of Linux based on Ubuntu 10.10 ? I am thinking of calling it something different but I was wondering besides making a custom Live CD I am talking about an Linux that people can install on there computers using Ubuntu installation method. • Mounting an encrypted partion Error

  Using the disk utilities in ubuntu 11.04, i had encrypted a partition with a passphrase. Each time i used to click on the partition to mount, it used to ask me the passphrase and get mounted. All was fine, until i installed the 12.04. After the installation, this encrypted partition, disappeared from the menu. fdisk -l /dev/sda Shows the encrypted partition in the list /dev/sda7 298953648 488392064 94719208+ 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT I tried the following commands to mount it. But they all gave following errors $ sudo cryptsetup luksDump /dev/sda7 Device /dev/sda7 is not a valid LUKS device. $ ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase /dev/sda7 Passphrase: # i entered the correct passphrase here... Error: Unwrapping passphrase failed [-5] Info: Check the system log for more information from libecryptfs $ grep ecryptfs /var/log/syslog Oct 31 22:43:51 benny ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase: Error attempting to open [/dev/sda7] for reading Nov 1 01:28:02 benny ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase: Error attempting to open [/dev/sda7] for reading Nov 1 01:29:06 benny ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase: Error attempting to open [/dev/sda7] for reading I don't understand why I am getting the "Device /dev/sda7 is not a valid LUKS device." Could it be due to some corruption in partition table? Is there any way to recover this encrypted partition? Thanks indiajoe

• SubViewTwoController undeclared (first use in this function) (obj-c)

  Ahoy hoy everyone :) Here is a list of links. You will need it when reading the post. I am a newbie to Objective-C and try to learn it for iPhone-App-Development. I used the tutorial linked in the link list to create a standard app with a simple basic Navigation. This app contains a "RootView" that is displayed at startup. The startup screen itself contains three elements wich all link to SubViewOne. I have got it to work this far. So what i want to change is to make the second element link to SubViewTwo. When i "Build and Go" it, i get the following errors: RootViewController.m: SubViewTwoController *subViewTwoController = [[SubViewTwoController alloc] init]; // SubViewTwoController undeclared (first use in this function) and in SubViewTwoController.m [super didReceiveMemoryWarning]; // Releases the view if it doesn't have a superview no superclass declared in @interface for ´SubViewTwoController´ and the same thing after - (void)dealloc { [super dealloc]; I think you will also need the header files, so here they are! • Demonstration VM BIC2g 2013-10 Partner Edition for Download

The “BIC2g” demo VM (now version 2013-10) is downloadable from our BIC2g Beehive Online Workspace portal for OPN member partners. Compared to the prior version, Bic2g 2013-04, the new Bic2g 2013-10 has: OBIEE was upgraded from 11.1.1.7.0 to 11.1.1.7.1. with BI Mobile Application Designer (BIMAD) added. TimesTen was upgraded from 11.2.2.3.0 to 11.2.2.5.0 ODI Client 11.1.1.7.0 was installed, including a Standalone agent and empty repositories, and the BI Applications 11g ODI Repositories were included (BIAPPS_11g) Informatica and DAC were removed from image There are additional demos for BI-Apps and for Endeca. The compact deployment of EPM is installed and configured, including: Hyperion Foundation, Essbase, Essbase Studio, Essbase Administration Services, Provider Services, Calculation Manager, Planning, Reporting and Analysis, Financial Reporting, Web Analysis, and Workspace. • Closed-loop Recommendation Engines: Analyst Insight report on Oracle Real-Time Decisions (RTD)

  In November 2011, Helena Schwenk of MWD Advisors, published her analysis on Oracle Real-Time Decisions.  She summarizes as follows: "In contrast to other popular approaches to implementing predictive analytics, RTD focuses on learning from each interaction and using these insights to adjust what is presented, offered or displayed to a customer. Likewise its capabilities for optimising decisions within the context of specific business goals and a report-driven framework for assessing the performance of models and decisions make it a strong contender for organisations that want to continuously improve decision making as part of a customer experience marketing, e-commerce optimisation and operational process efficiency initiative." • Getting a TV Capture Card working

  I'm new to Linux, and am trying to get my Capture Card working on 11.04. The only command that I know to run to find out any information is lspci, which tells me that I have 02:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23885 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 04) I've looked at using Me TV, but haven't worked out how to configure it for my card, or what I need to do to get it running. I'm not fussed on what software I use to run the Capture Card, but I've currently got only Me TV installed. Edit: When I run tvtime, I get the following errors: videoinput: Cannot open capture device /dev/video0: No such file or directory mixer: find error: Success mixer: Can't open mixer default, mixer volume and mute unavailable. mixer: Can't open device default/Line, mixer volume and mute unavailable. Segmentation fault
