• Best Practice for Images in Facebook Pages

  Hello I am looking for best practices when it comes to uploading images on facebook fan pages. I notice on Dell, US Cellular, and the Gap that they load all of their images on one of their web servers. Are there any alternatives? I was hoping for something like being able to upload photos and then hide the gallery. But I couldn't find anything like that. The reason that I ask is that I have access to someone's facebook fan page but not to their webserver so it would be extra work to email someone who does have access the photos and have them upload them to their web server.

• HTAccess redirect directories to index.html

  Hi there, I am working on a site that where I do not have permission to the server and someone else keeps changing the settings. That person just changed the settings preventing users from going to example.com/foo/ and seeing the index page. This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed. If you type in example.com/foo/index.html you can still see the file. So I want to use htaccess to redirect all urls that end in a directory to change into directory/index.html How do I write that? I started with some code that changes .php files to .html files and tried to work from that but I couldn't quite get it to work. RewriteRule ^(.*)\.php$ /$1.html [R=301,L] Any suggestions?

• One subdomain is not working

  Hello there, My main domain works just fine - www.example.com and a subdomain set up by another developer works as well - sub1.example.com. But when I try to set another subdomain up I go through the process everything seems to work. The software creates the default files where the subdomain files should go. But when I try to browse there it doesn't work. My host uses Plesk to do all of the hosting stuff. What do you think the problem is? I doubt it is some sort of cache issue because I had problems on my phone which I tried after problems on the pc. Maybe for some reason Plesk needs time to set this up? I have used Cpanel before and that works instantly.

• Want to bind an input field to a jquery-ui slider handle

  hello, I want to bind an input field to the jquery-ui slider handle. So whenever one value changes I want the other value to also change. Ex: if someone types 1000 into the minimum value input field I want the lower slider handle to move to the 1000 mark. Also if the user drags the lower slider handle to 1000 the input field should reflect that. Making the slider reflect the changes in the input field is easy: $(minYearInput).blur(function () { $("#yearSlider").slider("values", 0, parseInt($(this).val())); }); $(maxYearInput).blur(function () { $("#yearSlider").slider("values", 1, parseInt($(this).val())); }); I just need help making the text fields mimic the slider. $("#yearSlider").slider({ range: true, min: 1994, max: 2011, step: 1, values: [ 1994 , 2011 ], slide: function(event, ui) { //what goes here? } }); Any ideas? • Need to autosave TinyMCE

  Hello, I am looking for some help autosaving tinyMCE. I want to save the content within tiny into its respective textarea after content has been updated. So that when I make an ajax call the content is in the textarea ready to be posted. Currently I have this little bit of code but it only updates the text area when you press a button in tiny (like bold, italics, underline, etc). I also have the link where I found the code. • Illegal offset type

  Hello, I am having trouble uploading a file through php. I check the file type at the beginning of the process and I get an error. This is the error I am getting: Warning: Illegal offset type in /balblabla/DBfunctions.inc.php on line 183 This is the printed out $_FILES var Array ( [Picture] = Array ( [name] = JPG.jpg [type] = image/jpeg [tmp_name] = /tmp/phpHlrNY8 [error] = 0 [size] = 192221 ) ) Here is the segment of code I am using that is giving me issues: function checkFile($file, $type) { if( in_array($_FILES[$file]['type'], $type) ){ // <--- LINE 183 return true; }//if return false; } // end checkFile() This is the line of code that calls the function if( checkFile( $_FILES['Picture'], array("image/jpeg") ) == true ){ //do stuff }// end if I have used this piece of code on dozens of websites on my own server so i am guessing that this is some different configuration option. How can i modify my code so that it works on this different server?
