• SQLServer 2008 Fails to start under NT AUTHORITY/NETWORK SERVICE account

  Not sure what changed but looks like my security credentials have been monkeyed with. Since yesterday evening after I disconnected from our corporate network and rebooted my laptop at home, I am unable to start the instance of SQL2K8. The service is set to run under NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE account. The event log records an Access Denied error on the Master.mdf. Switching the account to Local System starts the service but our application runs into security errors. Any clues? TIA

• Enabling RSA Toolbar in IE8

  OS - Win7 Utlimate 64 bit I have installed the RSA security toolbar used to VPN into my corporate network. I can see that RSA Toolbar is enabled in the Manage Add-Ons window. However I do not see the toolbar when I right-click in the toolbar section in IE. The add-on manger says that the toolbar is loaded but I cant get it to show in the toolbars section Any ideas? TIA

• Permission error trying to create a new COM+ Application in Win7

  I am logged in as domain user who is part of the local Administrators group. However when I try to register a new COM+ application in windows 7 ultimate via the Component Services MMC, I get a "You do not have permission to perform the requested operation" error. Any idea how that can be fixed? TIA
