• Missing Desktop Icon Labels in Windows 7

  Hey guys. Big problem that has been bothering me to no end. My desktop icons have been stripped of their icon labels, and nothing seems to be recovering them. To be clear, when I attempt to rename, the text shows up, and when I view my desktop in an explorer window, all text is preserved. System restore to a stock state will not recover. No changes have been done to the computer-- no installs or downloads for two weeks prior to this error. Rebuilt the icon cache, still no response. Anybody know what can be causing this problem? • Using jQuery to disable CSS inheritance

  Is there a way to use jQuery (or generic javascript) to disable CSS inheritance on a block level? For example, if I am pulling in an external resource via javascript, say pastie.org, they will have their own CSS that my CSS overrides. I would like to place the embed code into its own container that has CSS inheritance disabled. This is not my own CSS structure, so I can't rename IDs Classes or inline anything to make it work, the holy grail of inheritance blocking is my last resort.

• How to retrieve jQuery modified innerHTML from C#

  Hey guys. I'm trying to access the innerHTML of a span tag modified by jQuery using C#. This is my first project shunning the AJAX libs in favor of jQuery, so I'm not sure how I can get the codebehind to recognize the manipulated innerHTML. I've set all the spans I want to tap into with runat="server", but all I pull are the values I've set when the page was designed. What steps should I be taking to enable communication between the client-side and my codebehind, and am I even using the best practice here?
