• Can I load the max value of the range attribute in CFINPUT using and AJAX call?

  I have a CFINPUT tag in a CFFORM: <cfinput type="text" id="itemInput" name="itemInput" /> I want to set the range dynamically without posting the page. I have several AJAX calls throughout the page to dynamically load form fields on the fly: <cfselect id="this" name="this" bind="cfc:Data.getThis()" bindonload="true" /> <cfselect id="that" name="that" bind="cfc:Data.getThat({p1})" /> <cfselect id="theOther" name="theOther" bind="cfc:Data.getTheOther({p1}, {p2})" /> <cfdiv id="maxQty" bind="cfc:Data.getMaxQty({itemId})" /> <cfinput type="text" id="qty" name="qty" /> <cfdiv id="itemId" bind="cfc:Data.getItemId({this}, {that}, {theOther})" /> In the above CFFORM, I basically want to set the minValue of the range to "1" and the maxValue of the range to the value of cfc:Data.getMaxQty({itemId}). Is this possible? How can I do it?

  I have the following CFSELECT tags that are used to populate a text input: <cfselect id="this" name="this" bind="cfc:Data.getThis()" bindonload="true" /> <cfselect id="that" name="that" bind="cfc:Data.getThat({p1})" /> <cfselect id="theOther" name="theOther" bind="cfc:Data.getTheOther({p1}, {p2})" /> The text input is the only value that needs to be submitted in a form: <cfform name="addItem" method="post" action="somepage.cfm"> <cfinput type="text" id="item" name="item" bind="cfc:Data.getResult({this}, {that}, {theOther})" /><br /> <cfinput type="submit" name="addButton" value="Add Item" /> </cfform> I want the form and it's contents to be visible only when all three selections have been made, and there is a value for the text input. What is the best way to do this? I'm assuming some use of CFDIV is the best way, but I'm not sure how to load the dynamic content (the CFINPUTs) this way.

• CFfile -- value is not set to the queried data

  I have this add user form, it also doubles as a edit user form by querying the data and setting the value="#query.xvalue#". If the user exists (eg, you're editing a user, it loads in the users data from the database. When doing this on the <cffile field it does not load in the data, then when the insert goes to insert data it overrights the database values with a blank string (If a user does not input a new file). How do I avoid this? • cfdiv working in FF and Safari but does not show up in IE

  Within a form I have a button that launches a cfwindow, then presents a search screen for the user to make a selection. Once selection is made, the cfwindow closes and the selected content shows in the main page by being bound to a cfdiv. This all works fine in FF but the cfdiv doesn't show at all in IE. In IE, the cfwindow works, the select works, but then no bound page. I have tried setting bindonload and that made no difference (and I need it to be true if there is content that is pulled in via a query when it loads). All I have been able to find so far regarding this issue is setting bindonload to false and putting the cfdiv outside of the form but that's not possible in my current design. • How do I grab and use a variables coming back through ValueList from an AJAX call?

  I'm trying the following code to execute a search and it's not working. Is there a way to return the GameID value without displaying it? The second thing: How to I grab a value from the auto-suggest once it is returned? Say I want to grab the GameID, or if I can't do that, the "TitleName" to use that in my query? I tried passing it to the form this way: action="search.cfm?GameID=#cfautosuggestvalue.GameID#" - but that does not work. How do I reference the autosuggestionvalue varaibles for use? Thanks
