  • Chrome is reporting GMail has Invalid Server Certificate, how do I find out who's fiddling with my certs?

    - by chillitom
Chrome is giving the following warning when ever I try and visit GMail or a bunch of other SSL sites. Invalid Server Certificate You attempted to reach mail.google.com, but the server presented an invalid certificate. You cannot proceed because the website operator has requested heightened security for this domain. This is the certificate the Chrome reports as invalid: -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- MIIDIjCCAougAwIBAgIQK59+5colpiUUIEeCdTqbuTANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQUFADBM MQswCQYDVQQGEwJaQTElMCMGA1UEChMcVGhhd3RlIENvbnN1bHRpbmcgKFB0eSkg THRkLjEWMBQGA1UEAxMNVGhhd3RlIFNHQyBDQTAeFw0xMTEwMjYwMDAwMDBaFw0x MzA5MzAyMzU5NTlaMGkxCzAJBgNVBAYTAlVTMRMwEQYDVQQIEwpDYWxpZm9ybmlh MRYwFAYDVQQHFA1Nb3VudGFpbiBWaWV3MRMwEQYDVQQKFApHb29nbGUgSW5jMRgw FgYDVQQDFA9tYWlsLmdvb2dsZS5jb20wgZ8wDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEBBQADgY0AMIGJ AoGBAK85FZho5JL+T0/xu/8NLrD+Jaq9aARnJ+psQ0ynbcvIj36B7ocmJRASVDOe qj2bj46Ss0sB4/lKKcMP/ay300yXKT9pVc9wgwSvLgRudNYPFwn+niAkJOPHaJys Eb2S5LIbCfICMrtVGy0WXzASI+JMSo3C2j/huL/3OrGGvvDFAgMBAAGjgecwgeQw DAYDVR0TAQH/BAIwADA2BgNVHR8ELzAtMCugKaAnhiVodHRwOi8vY3JsLnRoYXd0 ZS5jb20vVGhhd3RlU0dDQ0EuY3JsMCgGA1UdJQQhMB8GCCsGAQUFBwMBBggrBgEF BQcDAgYJYIZIAYb4QgQBMHIGCCsGAQUFBwEBBGYwZDAiBggrBgEFBQcwAYYWaHR0 cDovL29jc3AudGhhd3RlLmNvbTA+BggrBgEFBQcwAoYyaHR0cDovL3d3dy50aGF3 dGUuY29tL3JlcG9zaXRvcnkvVGhhd3RlX1NHQ19DQS5jcnQwDQYJKoZIhvcNAQEF BQADgYEANYARzVI+hCn7wSjhIOUCj19xZVgdYnJXPOZeJWHTy60i+NiBpOf0rnzZ wW2qkw1iB5/yZ0eZNDNPPQJ09IHWOAgh6OKh+gVBnJzJ+fPIo+4NpddQVF4vfXm3 fgp8tuIsqK7+lNfNFjBxBKqeecPStiSnJavwSI4vw6e7UN0Pz7A= -----END CERTIFICATE----- I think someone or something (proxy, anti-virus, browser extension) is snooping on my SSL traffic. • Configuring ant to run unit tests. Where should libraries be? How should classpath be configured? av

    - by chillitom
Hi All, I'm trying to run my junit tests using ant. The tests are kicked off using a JUnit 4 test suite. If I run this direct from Eclipse the tests complete without error. However if I run it from ant then many of the tests fail with this error repeated over and over until the junit task crashes. [junit] java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file [junit] at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) [junit] at java.util.zip.ZipFile.(ZipFile.java:114) [junit] at java.util.zip.ZipFile.(ZipFile.java:131) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader.getResourceURL(AntClassLoader.java:1028) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader$ResourceEnumeration.findNextResource(AntClassLoader.java:147) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader$ResourceEnumeration.nextElement(AntClassLoader.java:130) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.util.CollectionUtils$CompoundEnumeration.nextElement(CollectionUtils.java:198) [junit] at sun.misc.CompoundEnumeration.nextElement(CompoundEnumeration.java:43) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask.checkForkedPath(JUnitTask.java:1128) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask.executeAsForked(JUnitTask.java:1013) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask.execute(JUnitTask.java:834) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask.executeOrQueue(JUnitTask.java:1785) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask.execute(JUnitTask.java:785) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.UnknownElement.execute(UnknownElement.java:288) [junit] at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor1.invoke(Unknown Source) [junit] at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) [junit] at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.dispatch.DispatchUtils.execute(DispatchUtils.java:106) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Task.perform(Task.java:348) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Target.execute(Target.java:357) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Target.performTasks(Target.java:385) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Project.executeSortedTargets(Project.java:1337) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Project.executeTarget(Project.java:1306) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.helper.DefaultExecutor.executeTargets(DefaultExecutor.java:41) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Project.executeTargets(Project.java:1189) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.runBuild(Main.java:758) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.startAnt(Main.java:217) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.run(Launcher.java:257) [junit] at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:104) my test running task is as follows: <target name="run-junit-tests" depends="compile-tests,clean-results"> <mkdir dir="${test.results.dir}"/> <junit failureproperty="tests.failed" fork="true" showoutput="yes" includeantruntime="false"> <classpath refid="test.run.path" /> <formatter type="xml" /> <test name="project.AllTests" todir="${basedir}/test-results" /> </junit> <fail if="tests.failed" message="Unit tests failed"/> </target> I've verified that the classpath contains the following as well as all of the program code and libraries: ant-junit.jar ant-launcher.jar ant.jar easymock.jar easymockclassextension.jar junit-4.4.jar I've tried debugging to find out which ZipFile it is trying to open with no luck, I've tried toggling includeantruntime and fork and i've tried running ant with ant -lib test/libs where test/libs contains the ant and junit libraries. Any info about what causes this exception or how you've configured ant to successfully run unit tests is gratefully received. ant 1.7.1 (ubuntu), java 1.6.0_10, junit 4.4 Thanks. Update - Fixed Found my problem. I had included my classes directory in my path using a fileset as opposed to a pathelement this was causing .class files to be opened as ZipFiles which of course threw an exception.

  • How can I combine several Expressions into a fast method?

    - by chillitom
Suppose I have the following expressions: Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr1 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(t.Name); Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr2 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(", "); Expression<Action<T, StringBuilder>> expr3 = (t, sb) => sb.Append(t.Description); I'd like to be able to compile these into a method/delegate equivalent to the following: void Method(T t, StringBuilder sb) { sb.Append(t.Name); sb.Append(", "); sb.Append(t.Description); } What is the best way to approach this? I'd like it to perform well, ideally with performance equivalent to the above method. UPDATE So, whilst it appears that there is no way to do this directly in C#3 is there a way to convert an expression to IL so that I can use it with System.Reflection.Emit?

  • Java heap keeps on shrinking! What is happening in this graph of heap size?

    - by chillitom
Hi Guys, This is a screen shot of a JVM (win64, 6u17) running ActiveMQ, after every garbage collection the heap size is reducing. As the heap size reduces garbage collection gets more frequent and the heap reduces more quickly. Eventually the VM locks up as it's spending all it's time in GC. -Xms is the default and -Xmx is 2048mb. What is happening!!? How can I avoid this? http://imagebin.org/92614 n.b originally posted on serverfault.com, moved to stackoverflow.com as requested

  • Routing an ActiveMq topic to an external broker.

    - by chillitom
Hi All, I have an ActiveMq topic which I wish to transform and share with an external broker. At present I have the following which performs the transformation: <camelContext id="camel" xmlns="http://activemq.apache.org/camel/schema/spring"> <route> <from uri="activemq:topic:OriginalTopic"/> <to uri="xslt:file:///xslt/transformation.xsl"/> <to uri="activemq:topic:NewTopic"/> </route> </camelContext> However this just sends the message to the current broker network. I'd like to pass the NewTopic messages to an external broker only. I don't want to join the external broker using a <networkConnector .. > as only this topic should be send to the external broker and no others. Is there a simple way to route messages to an external broker? Many thanks.

  • Win forms, log all clicks?

    - by chillitom
Hi All, Is there a way to log all of the clicks in a Win Forms application? I'd like to intercept clicks and record the action and the name of the control that caused it. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

  • How can I combine sequential expression trees into a fast method?

  • Can I write for .Net 4 using VS2008?

    - by chillitom
Can I write code against .Net 4 and its libraries using VS2008? If so how should I configure it? I realise that VS2008 will probably struggle with language changes such as the dynamic keyword but can I install the version 4 and target it anyway? My only real interest is in being able to use some of the new libraries, in particular I'm interested in the TPL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_Extensions)

  • C#/Resharper 5 structural search, detect and warn if any non-virtual public methods on classes with

    - by chillitom
Hi All, I'm using LinFu's dynamic proxy to add some advice to some classes. The problem is that the proxied objects can only intercept virtual methods and will return the return type's default value for non-virtual methods. I can tell whether a class is proxied or not based whether the class or any of it's method has an interception attribute, e.g. [Transaction] Is it possible to write a ReSharper 5 structural search that would warn if any non-virtual public methods are defined on a class with an interception attribute. E.g. Ok public class InterceptedClass { [Transaction] public virtual void TransactionalMethod() { ... } public virtual void AnotherMethod() { ... } } Bad public class InterceptedClass { [Transaction] public virtual void TransactionalMethod() { ... } public void AnotherMethod() // non-virtual method will not be called by proxy { ... } } Many Thanks.

  • Converting currencies via intermediate currencies.

    - by chillitom
class FxRate { string Base { get; set; } string Target { get; set; } double Rate { get; set; } } private IList<FxRate> rates = new List<FxRate> { new FxRate {Base = "EUR", Target = "USD", Rate = 1.3668}, new FxRate {Base = "GBP", Target = "USD", Rate = 1.5039}, new FxRate {Base = "USD", Target = "CHF", Rate = 1.0694}, new FxRate {Base = "CHF", Target = "SEK", Rate = 8.12} // ... }; Given a large yet incomplete list of exchange rates where all currencies appear at least once (either as a target or base currency): What algorithm would I use to be able to derive rates for exchanges that aren't directly listed? I'm looking for a general purpose algorithm of the form: public double Rate(string baseCode, string targetCode, double currency) { return ... } In the example above a derived rate would be GBP-CHF or EUR-SEK (which would require using the conversions for EUR-USD, USD-CHF, CHF-SEK) Whilst I know how to do the conversions by hand I'm looking for a tidy way (perhaps using LINQ) to perform these derived conversions perhaps involving multiple currency hops, what's the nicest way to go about this?

  • Java's ThreadPoolExecutor equivalent for C#?

    - by chillitom
Hi Guys, I used to make good use of Java's ThreadPoolExecutor class and have yet to find a good equivalent in C#. I know of ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem which is useful in many cases but no good if you want to control the number of threads assigned to a task or have multiple individual queues for different task types. For example I liked to use a ThreadPoolExecutor with a single thread to guarantee sequential execution of asynchronous calls.. Is there an easy way to do this in C#? Is there a non-static thread pool implementation? Thanks, T.

  • Should mutex.WaitOne() inside or before the try/finally block.

    - by chillitom
    Hi Guys, I was wondering which of the following was the suggested pattern when using Mutex (or Semaphores or ReadWriteLockSlims etc.). Should the initial lock happen inside or outside of the try statement? Is it unimportant? _mutex.WaitOne() try { // critical code } finally { _mutex.ReleaseMutex(); } or try { _mutex.WaitOne() // critical code } finally { _mutex.ReleaseMutex(); }
