• How to set the SPN for Postgres SSPI

  I am trying to setup Postgres to support SSPI/Kerberos, however I think that I have not found out what the correct SPN that is needed to get it working. The background details: Service account for postgres: 'postgres' Domain Name: 'testdomain.com' Domain Controller: 'dc.testdomain.com' I have tried the following SPNs and have had zero luck: setspn -A HOST/testdomain.com postgres setspn -A HOST/testdomain postgres setspn -A POSTGRES/testdomain.com postgres setspn -A POSTGRES/testdomain postgres setspn -A POSTGRES/dc.testdomain.com postgres Does anyone have some suggestions?

• Does the openssl command line do key strengthening?

  If I run the openssl command line in hmac mode (as below), is the key used for the hmac used directly or is it hashed before using it as the key? echo "foo" | openssl dgst -sha256 -binary -hmac "test" | openssl base64 Similarly, when encrypting a file with openssl (as below)is the pass phrase hashed with the salt? (If so how is it done? A pointer to the right source file would be even better.) openssl enc -salt

• Is there a standard way to run a x509 key server?

  Does anyone know of a project / product that has standardized how to access/download x509/SSL certificates over HTTP? I have seen RFC 4387 but haven't found anyone who implements it. Basically, I am trying to setup a key server for an internal application. So short of implementing my own, does anyone have any suggestions?

• How to migrate a codebase from one svn repo to another preserving history?

  I have a branch in a badly structured svn repo that needs to be stripped out and moved to another svn repository. (I'm trying to clean it up some). If I do an 'svn log' and not stop on copy/rename I can see all 3427 commits that I care about. Is there some way to dump the revisions out, short of writing some major scripts? I would follow the advice in this question but this branch has been moved all over the place and I would like to preserve the moves as well. Any ideas?
