  Hi everybody, I am looking for a professional search server system with functionality, like e.g. solr http://lucene.apache.org/solr/ holds. Place of action should be a centralized location, whereon many hosts would request data. Furthermore the system should be extensible for implementing statistical procedures.   I want to do the following: Declare a variable Go into a if-statement Overwrite the variable XSL says I can't declare a variable twice, so what can I do to improve this step? Another approach was to check if a variable is set at all. I did this, because i skipped the first step and declared the variable in the if-statement. In another if-statement I wanted to check if the variable exists at all.

  Hey community, I want to create an navigation with anchors. By clicking on a navigation link, the whole visible page should scroll down to the clicked anchor. The most important is the following structure of the page. --------------- (Begin visible browser area) NAV1 nav2 nav3 content --------------- (Begin/end visible browser area) nav1 NAV2 nav3 content --------------- (Begin/end visible browser area) nav1 nav2 NAV3 content --------------- (end visible browser area) Finally all content is in a single document and the height of the current page (selected by the nav-item) has to be calculated (with a JS Library). I prefer PrototypeJS/Scriptaculous and jQuery. The scroll effect should be a smooth slide/ effect. Chris

  My wish is to know how I can program a mobile website, that fit to all mobile phones. Are there any special approaches to recognize a device and render the code according to it? Which tools and coding languages are required? My first thought was to hold the website in XML, which would be parsed depending on the device. You have to consider old phones, even devices with only wap support. For example: The mobile website has to recognize Nokia N75 and render/send the code that looks optimal for this device. Same thing with an iPhone or a Motorola Razr.

  I need a html document, that contains multiple div's with 100% height (screen filling) one below the other. I have tried to apply every element a height of 100%, but that won't work seamless nor clean. Maybe there is a option with JavaScript? I don't have an idea. Please suggest me your solutions. chris
