• Hacked by our own hosting company!

  OK, so our hosting company decided to clone our site and database onto a new serve. Without our knowledge or permission they then edited our code to point to the new database. The old server was left running, still pointing at the original database. The DNS was changed to reflect the new IP address of the server. Obviously during the propagation customers were hitting both the new and old servers, resulting in orders coming in to both databases, sometimes being split between the two. We're now attempting to reconcile the two databases. The question I have is is it still hacking if it was done by your own hosting company?! I'm fairly sure they shouldn't have edited our code! If they had left it as it was the site would have stayed pointed at the original database and we wouldn't be in this mess! I'm thinking that legal advice is need but just wanted to know if anyone had ever come across this situation before?!

• Symfony custom route works with frontend_dev.php but not with index.php

  Am I missing something or should my custom route work with the index.php (or nothing) instead of frontend_dev.php? I'm getting a 500 error when I go to the model, and a 404 for the show page. My route is: project_show: url: /project/:slug class: sfDoctrineRoute options: { model: Project, type: object } param: { module: project, action: show } Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! • jQuery Address double load on init

  Hi All! I'm using jQuery Address to load in my content, but it's doing it twice on the init. I set it up so that if you go to the main category it loads the first image, but it's doing it twice and I'm not sure how to stop it. • Add links to specific words within span tag in PHP

• H1 tags, SEO and semantics

  Hi guys, I'm using the H1 tag in my document as the main title, as you do. The text in the H1 is the title of the company, which needs to be shown on every page. I'm using the H2 tag for the title of the main content on each page. So the H1 is the same on every page, and the H2 changes. I know that a lot of sites use the H1 to do what I'm doing with the H2, am I losing out by not doing this? I know that semantically I can't make the H1 into a H2 and vice versa, so I'm wondering what the best option is. Does it matter that my H1 is always the same? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
