• When defining Product Backlog items, is it s a bad idea to describe what will be part of the user experience?

  First, I am using the TFS 2010 SCRUM template. I am wondering if this is a bad idea... I started defining a PBI for User Interface Elements. Basically, this will hold all the tasks that developers will be assigned when developing UI elements for a web application. Since this has to do with user interaction and usability I was thinking it may be OK, however my struggle is that it also can be considered functionality and may not fit as a PBI.

• IIS Mail from Pickup directory not going into Badmail folder

  I have been testing my SMTP setup on IIS6 today. I have created a test.eml file that I palce in my pickup directory and it gets sent out. However, when I put a bad address into the file it is not going into the badmail folder. The file disappears and it seems to be removed from the file system. Thanks

  I am trying to wrap my head around a URL rewrtie / redirect project I need to work on. We currently have this url: www.domain.com/Details/Detail.aspx?param1=8&param2=12345 Here is what the rewritten URL will look like: www.domain.com/Param1/8/Param2/12345 I am using the ISAPI_Rewrite filter to allow for the "nice" url and make the page think it is still using the old url. That works fine. Now, I need to redirect users, if they use the old URL, to the new URL. I fgiure I would need to use a combination of the filter and an HTTPModule / Handler to perfomr the redirect. Any ideas?

• Compressing ASPX pageview in code or compress HTTP in IIS?

  In the past, with pages with large viewstate I have overridden the PageStatePersister class so when the state is saved I compress it. On Load I decompress it. I have haven't really thought about it, but could IIS handle something like this better? The reason I did this was to keep my pages slimmer because I have a lot of custom controls on the page and the viewstate was huge. • Allow a div to only grow vertically for x amount of pixels then show scroll bar?

  So, basically if a div reaches 50px I want to, then, turn on the scroll bar (vertcially). Any JQuery Ideas would be nice.
