    I mean, How to self Motivate to get a job at google or create another google in future. ,as there is no mentor who can guide me on this topic, so asked it here: I'm a Graduate in BE IT,but with less grades,with interest in learning new programming languages, but not yet done anything great like developed some system or anything. And I'm left with 2 more years to prove my worth to someone. So, I'm really at a loss what's causing this error to occur time and again. I really want to solve this problem once and for all.

    I have Ubuntu running for LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) server. To provide better search capability one of my friend recommended to install "Apache Lucene". While reading about it I came to know that "Apache Lucene" required tomcat and java to run. Please let me know if it be feasible to have it or there are other better alternates for LAMP stack.   • 'EditItem' is not allowed for this view - databinding issue

    Hi, I am trying to do data binding in WPF on data grid using a cutom list. My custom list class contains a private data list of type List. I can not expose this list however the indexers are exposed for seeting and getting individual items. My custom class looks like this: public abstract class TestElementList<T> : IEnumerable where T : class { protected List<T> Data { get; set; } public virtual T Get(int index) { T item = Data[index]; return item; } public virtual void Set(int index, T item) { Data[index] = item; } ... } The data is binded but when I try to edit it, i get "'EditItem' is not allowed for this view." Error. On doing extensive searching over web, I found that i might need to implement IEditableCollectionView interface also. Can anybody please help me to either give pointers on how to implement this interface or any suggest any other better way to do databinding on custom list. Thanks in advance.

    Hi I have a piece of code that does not seem to do what it is expected to do. VBA Arrays are mutable by all means, but it seems that when they are stored into a Dictionary as values of some keys, they are not mutable anymore. Any ideas?   • Providing File permissions in Installshield

    I have created an installer in Installshield X. I want to give 'write permissions' to few files when the installation is done in Non-Admin Windows accounts ( by default it will have only 'read' permission). If I select individual file and go to properties (inside Installshield),i have permissions tab where they have provided options like Domain , Readonly, Full Control, Modify etc. I have tested these options but it doesn't effect the msi file.(specific files doesn't have write permission). Is there something wrong I am doing?   • Dynamic size canvas with Scroll bars

    Hi, I am developing a simple WPF application without any auto layout. The goal is when a user clicks (mouse down) a element (say textBlock) will appear at the location of the mouse click. For this I am using canvas panel embedded in a Grid of 1 row, 1 column and scrollviewer (visible). The issues are: 1. when the application window is resized the scroll viewers do not become active. 2. I want the ability to auto grow the canvas with mouse drag. Something like in MS-Excel when user drags the mouse horizontally/vertically the canvas should grow. I have searched net a lot to figure this out and am unable to get an answer. Any help in this regard would be great. Thanks a bunch in advance. -P

  • WPF data grid - Column Header not aligned with data rows

    Hi, I am using Datagrid in WPF. This is a very simple and basic implementation. I not using any styles. I created a simple datagrid : <dg:DataGrid x:Name="dg" > </dg:DataGrid> and populated it with data as: dg.ItemsSource = " H E L L O W O R L D!".Split(); Grid gets properly populated but the columnheader of the grid is drawn with some offset. Due to this my data and header are mis aligned. I tried searching for this over net but I haven't found anything. This seems to be a straightforward implementation which is working for everyone except me :(. Can anyone please tell me what might be going wrong? I have tried using different data sets and appyling some style to test this. Thanks in advance.

  • SQL Server: Output an XML field as tabular data using a stored procedure

    I am using a table with an XML data field to store the audit trails of all other tables in the database. That means the same XML field has various XML information. For example my table has two records with XML data like this: 1st record: <client> <name>xyz</name> <ssn>432-54-4231</ssn> </client> 2nd record: <emp> <name>abc</name> <sal>5000</sal> </emp> These are the two sample formats and just two records. The table actually has many more XML formats in the same field and many records in each format. Now my problem is that upon query I need these XML formats to be converted into tabular result sets. What are the options for me? It would be a regular task to query this table and generate reports from it. I want to create a stored procedure to which I can pass that I need to query "<emp>" or "<client>", then my stored procedure should return tabular data.

    Hi, I have inherited a class, say CstateUI from Control class. I am creating an object of CstateUI and setting up the margin of the object. For values of margin I take mouse click points from e.getPosition(grid). The problem is the first object is correctly rendered but on subsequent objects margin is not getting set accurately.     Hi all, I have been working around in UIImagePickerController and am struck with a problem where I need to get the precise moment when the camera shutter opens in UIImagePickerController when the source type is set to camera (UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera). I have done some googling around and have realized that no one had such strange requirement! I looked around the docs of UIImagePickerController and UIImagePickerControllerDelegate hoping to get some delegate method / callback indicating the camera shutter open event, but did not find any.     Hi all, I am working on ffmpeg and trying to add a audio stream on the fly. I am using AudioQueues and I get raw audio buffer. I am encoding audio with linear PCM and hence the audio I get will be of raw format, which I know ffmpeg does accept it. But I cannot figure out how. I have looked into AVStream, where in we have to create a new stream for this audio channel but how do I encode it to a video which is already initialized in another AVStream structure. Overall, I would like to have an idea of the architecture of ffmpeg. I found it difficult to work since it is least documented. Any pointers or details are appreciated.     Hi, I am facing a problem where-in I cannot select videos from the photo album in iPhone 2G/3G device. The default photos application does show videos and is capable of playing them, which in turn means that UIImagePickerController should clearly be capable of showing videos in photo album and selecting them. I havent tested for 3GS, but I am sure that this problem does not exist in it with reference to other threads. I have built the app for both 3.0 (base SDK) and 3.1 but with the same results. This issue is already discussed in the thread: http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/iphone-sdk-development/36197-uiimagepickercontroller-does-not-show-movies-albums.html But it does not seem to host a solution.
