  • Displaytag caption not working

    - by Neeraja
I am using displaytag to render data, I have it working without any issues. As soon as I use display:caption I get JSP compilation error with the below message. Am I missing anything? I thougt including caption would be simple. If I remove display:caption everything works fine. aaaaa.jsp:527:14: This tag is not recognized. This is the table caption Jsp code: This is the table caption Setup Displaytag1.2 Web-inf/lib Displaytag-1.2.jar Displaytag-export-poi-1.2.jar Displaytag-portlet-1.2.har Itext-1.3.jar Itext-2.0.5.jar WEB-INF/tlds Displaytag.tld Displaytag-12.tld Displaytag-el.td

  • Creating a drop-down row in displaytag

    - by bphilipnyc
I am currently using displaytag for tabular data, but would like to create a "kayak.com-like" interface where when a user clicks a row, the user is shown more details about the particular row without a page refresh. I tried using a decorator to return javascript that would do this. The javascript is executed, but it is only reflected in the column where it was rendered. I am looking to create a new row with the data. e.g.: public class CustomDecorator extends TableDecorator { public String getDetailsRow() { MyObject object = (MyObject)this.getCurrentRowObject(); return "<a onClick=\"myjsfunction(object.getId()); return true\">Details</a>"; } } ...and in the JSP I would have a detailsRow property nested between the display:table tags: <display:column property="detailsRow" sortable="false" /> Any tips on how to create a new row? The solution may be in the way that the javascript is written - I'm not an expert with Javascript, so any tips would be appreciated. Is there a better way to do this with displaytag? I don't know of any explicit integration that displaytag has with javascript (like an "onclick" parameter) either. This is my first question on stackoverflow, btw - so please let me know whether you need more detail.

  • Where is the displaytag of scheduled reporting?

    - by Nathan Feger
So I have been making some reports and using displaytag to output these reports in html, csv, excel, pdf, etc. They are paginated, and take a simple object graph... and output excellent results everytime, with very little code. However, I need to use displaytag or its equivalent outside of a jsp. So that a user can schedule a report to run, and that report is stored in a db, or emailed for later viewing. I have looked at jasper-based reporting solutions, but making a jasper jrxml file is just a nightmare. I know there are gui tools to help, but I'm content with the simple output of displaytable, so I'm happy to give up that control for ease of implementation. Really, if I could take the display:table config out of the jsp I would, so please keep that in mind when proposing a solution. btw, java solutions would be my cup of tea.

  • Displaytag table exported header column contains span tags

    - by Lancelot
    Hi, When I export the content of the display tag table I use the data shows up fine, but the header cells are surrounded by html span tags, which is slightly annoying. I can imagine why Displaytag uses spans around the column header's text, but it shouldn't transpose in the exported data I think. Here is my displaytag.properties config related to export: # Export export.amount = list export.decorated = true export.banner=<div id="exportTypes"><span class="label">Export: </span>{0}</div> export.banner.sepchar=&nbsp;| export.types=excel csv xml export.excel=true export.csv=true export.xml=false export.excel.label=xls export.csv.label=csv export.xml.label=xml export.excel.filename=export.xls export.csv.filename=export.csv export.xml.filename=export.xml export.excel.include_header=true export.csv.include_header=true export.xml.include_header=true Here is the displaytag table itself: <display:table class="list sortable" defaultsort="1" export="true" htmlId="contacts" id="row" name="contacts" requestURI=""> <display:setProperty name="export.banner"><div id="exportTypes"><span class="label">Export:</span> {0}</div></display:setProperty> <display:setProperty name="export.csv.filename">CSV</display:setProperty> <display:setProperty name="export.excel.filename">XLS</display:setProperty> <display:setProperty name="basic.msg.empty_list_row"> <tr class="empty"> <td colspan="7">Empty</td> </tr> </display:setProperty> <display:column class="lastName" property="lastName" sortProperty="lastName" headerClass="lastName first" sortable="true" titleKey="Lastname" href="contact/view" paramId="contactId" paramProperty="id" /> <display:column property="firstName" class="firstName" headerClass="firstName" sortable="true" titleKey="FirstName" /> <display:column class="loginName" headerClass="loginName" sortable="true" titleKey="Username" /> </display:table> My problem is when I click export on either the CSV or the XLS format the header row in the generated file looks like this: <span>Last Name</span> <span>First Name</span> <span>Username</span> I really don't want those span tags in there, any way to work around that? Thanks

  • Displaytag export option is not working

    - by Nirmal
    Hello All, I am using Displaytag framework for pagination & exporting purpose. In that i am also using Strut2Tiles Integration. Whenever i am calling any action class it will returning me a list & through Displaytag i am successfully displaying record on my page. For that my jsp page's code looks like : <s:set name="selectedPageSize" value="selectedPageSize" scope="request"/> <s:set value="accountList" scope="request" name="accountList"/> <display:table name="accountList" export="true" class="table" requestURI="" id="accountList" pagesize="${selectedPageSize}" > <display:setProperty name="export.pdf" value="true" /> <display:column property="id" sortable="true" class="sort-title"/> <display:column property="name" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="contactPerson" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="phone1" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="phone2" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="fax" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="email" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="webSite" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="address1" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="address2" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="countryId.name" title="Country" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="stateId.name" title="State" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="countryId.name" title="City" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="isDeleted" sortable="true"/> <display:column title="Delete"> <s:url id="removeUrl" action="finance/deleteAccount.action"> <s:param name="id" value="#attr.accountList.id" /> </s:url> <s:a href="%{removeUrl}" theme="ajax" targets="accountList">Remove</s:a> </display:column> <display:column title="Update"> <s:url id="updateUrl" action="finance/updateAccount.action"> <s:param value="#attr.accountList.id" name="id"/> </s:url> <s:a href="%{updateUrl}&action=update" targets="accountlist">Update</s:a> </display:column> Actually this page is displaying through tiles configuration. Here i have enabled the export option, so it is showing me the exporting options like CSV, EXCEL, XML. But whenver i am clicking on that CSV link, my web browser hanged, means nothing is displayed on it For that exporting solution i have also added filter in my web.xml. My web.xml looks like: <filter> <filter-name>struts2</filter-name> <filter-class>org.apache.struts2.dispatcher.FilterDispatcher</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>struts2</filter-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <filter> <filter-name>ResponseOverrideFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>org.displaytag.filter.ResponseOverrideFilter</filter-class> </filter> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>ResponseOverrideFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>*.action</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <filter-mapping> <filter-name>ResponseOverrideFilter</filter-name> <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern> </filter-mapping> <listener> <listener-class>org.apache.struts2.tiles.StrutsTilesListener</listener-class> </listener> <listener> <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class> </listener> <context-param> <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name> <param-value>/WEB-INF/classes/webApplicationContext.xml</param-value> </context-param> <welcome-file-list> <welcome-file>jsp/welcome.jsp</welcome-file> </welcome-file-list> I have also included following list of libraries of displaytag : 1) displaytag-1.2.jar 2) displaytag-export-poi-1.2.jar 3) displaytag-portlet-1.2.jar The exception that i am getting is : 2009-05-09 12:02:38,234 DEBUG (org.displaytag.tags.TableTag:1524) - Exportfilter NOT enabled 2009-05-09 12:02:38,312 WARN (org.displaytag.tags.TableTag:63) - Exception: [.TableTag] Unable to reset response before returning exported data. You are not using an export filter. Be sure that no other jsp tags are used before display:table or refer to the displaytag documentation on how to configure the export filter (requires j2ee 1.3). • Using DisplayTag library, I want to have the currently selected row have a unique custom class using

    - by Mary
I have been trying to figure out how to highlight the selected row in a table. In my jsp I have jsp scriplet that can get access to the id of the row the displaytag library is creating. I want to compare it to the the id of the current row selected by the user ${currentNoteId}. Right now if the row id = 849 (hardcoded) the class "currentClass" is added to just that row of the table. I need to change the 849 for the {$currentNoteId} and I don't know how to do it. I am using java, Spring MVC. The jsp: ... <% request.setAttribute("dyndecorator", new org.displaytag.decorator.TableDecorator() { public String addRowClass() { edu.ilstu.ais.advisorApps.business.Note row = (edu.ilstu.ais.advisorApps.business.Note)getCurrentRowObject(); String rowId = row.getId(); if ( rowId.equals("849") ) { return "currentClass"; } return null; } }); %> <c:set var="currentNoteId" value="${studentNotes.currentNote.id}"/> ... <display:table id="noteTable" name="${ studentNotes.studentList }" pagesize="20" requestURI="notesView.form.html" decorator="dyndecorator"> <display:column title="Select" class="yui-button-match" href="/notesView.form.html" paramId="note.id" paramProperty="id"> <input type="button" class="yui-button-match2" name="select" value="Select"/> </display:column> <display:column property="userName" title="Created By" sortable="true"/> <display:column property="createDate" title="Created On" sortable="true" format="{0,date,MM/dd/yy hh:mm:ss a}"/> <display:column property="detail" title="Detail" sortable="true"/> </display:table> ... This could also get done using javascript and that might be best, but the documentation suggested this so I thought I would try it. I cannot find an example anywhere using the addRowClass() unless the comparison is to a field already in the row (a dollar amount is used in the documentation example) or hardcoded in like the "849" id. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Does Displaytag stash the "media type" in a page or request attribute?

    - by Pointy
When you enable "export" from Displaytag, the tag code gives you links with special magic parameters that the tag recognizes as indicators that the table contents should be exported (as CSV, Excel, whatever). Well I'm interested in detecting the media type so that (for example) I can exclude columns that make no sense in an export (embedded action buttons, for one thing, or checkboxes for row selection). I suppose I could write a table decorator and use that to stick the media type on the request, but it'd be nice to avoid that if the tag already does it. The documentation is not clear on the subject; I guess I can start digging through the source code too.

  • pagination for displaytag with colorbox in Spring framework

    - by Hitesh Solanki
Hi..... I want to display the pop up for user selection using colorbox. I have put link on manageblacklist.jsp named 'select'. when I click on 'select' link ,colorbox is displayed. all user is displayed but pagination is not worked. I have used display tag for pagination. Without using colorbox, pagination is worked fine. I have used spring framework. • Why is display:inline killing IE 8.0 performance?

    - by monstermensch
I have an image gallery based on this jQuery plugin: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/demo/slider-gallery.html This works really well in Firefox, Chrome and even IE 7.0, but when I try it with more than 50 images in IE 8.0 the performance is incredible slow. Just hovering over the thumbnail brings the CPU load to 100%. At first I thought it's a Javascript problem, so I used the IE profiler, but the results were normal. Next I checked the CSS and finally found the cause: .sliderGallery UL LI { display: inline; } This gets the thumbnails to align horizontally. If I chance it to display:block, performance is fine and the scroller is still working but obviously it looks funny, because the thumbs are aligned vertically. My questions: Why does IE 8 have this problem with many display:inline elements What can I do to solve it I'll gladly provide more information if necessary.

  • Invalid Token when using XPath

    - by Andy5
Hi I am making a modification to a web application using XPath, and when executed I get an error message - Invalid token! This is basic what I am doing public xmlNode GetSelection (SelectParams params, xmldocument docment) { xpathstring = string.format("Name =\'{0}' Displaytag = \'{1}' Manadatory=\'{2}', params.Name, params.Displaytag, params.Manadatory); return document.selectsinglenode(xpathstring); } As you can see, I am making a string and setting values on the nodes I am trying to find against my xml document, and thus returning xml data that matches my parameters. What is happening is that I am getting an xpathexeception error in Visual Studio and it says invalid token. I do know that in the xml document that the parameters I am looking in the tags have double quotes, for example, Name="ABC". So, I thought the problem could be solved using an "\". Can anyone help? Update from comments In the Xml Document, the tag has attributes where they are set as Name="ABC" Displaytag="ATag" Manadatory="true".

  • What other Freemarker JSP Tag libraries are out-there?

    - by Mat Banik
I have been using Freemarker for a while and found displaytag library very useful. I just wondering if there are any other libraries that could be used in similar means as displaytag, which have been very helpful to you in development: FTL page <#assign display=JspTaglibs["/WEB-INF/tlds/displaytag.tld"]/> <@display.table uid="items" name="items" pagesize=10 class="table"> <@display.column title="Category" property="category.name"/> <@display.column title="Delivery" property="delivery"/> </@display.table> Example of usage would be appreciated since most of the JSP tag libs don't have them.

  • NHibernate: QueryOver<> help

    - by Andy Baker
    Hi, I'm just starting out with NHibernate and I'm having trouble with running more complex queries. I have entities with a list of tags attached. The user will provide two lists of tags, include and exclude. I need to find all the entities that have all of the include tags, and exclude any entites that have any tag in the exclude list. Below is my first effort- which is clearly wrong as its listing all Display objects that have any of the include tags rather than all! Any assistance is greatly appeciated. var includeTagIds = (from tag in regime.IncludeTags select tag.Id).ToList<int>(); var excludeTagIds = from tag in regime.ExcludeTags select tag.Id; var displays = session.QueryOver<Display>() .JoinQueryOver<DisplayTag>(display => display.Tags) .WhereRestrictionOn(tag => tag.Id) .IsIn(includeTagIds).List().Distinct(); return displays.ToList();

  • JQuery tablesorter problem

    - by Don
Hi, I'm having a couple of problems with the JQuery tablesorter plugin. If you click on a column header, it should sort the data by this column, but there are a couple of problems: The rows are not properly sorted (1, 1, 2183, 236) The total row is included in the sort Regarding (2), I can't easily move the total row to a table footer, because the HTML is generated by the displaytag tag library over which I have limited control. Regarding (1), I don't understand why the sort doesn't work as I've used exactly the same JavaScript shown in the simplest example in the tablesorter tutorials. In fact, there's only a single line of JS code, which is: <body onload="jQuery('#communityStats').tablesorter();"> Thanks in advance, Don
