  • Android relative layout problem

    - by DixieFlatline
    Hello! I just can't display the button at the bottom of the screen. I have 2 textviews and 2 edittexts set as gone, and they become visible when user clicks checkbox. It's only then that my button gets positioned properly Otherwise it sits on top of the app at launch of my app.(see here: http://www.shrani.si/f/3V/10G/4nnH4DtV/layoutproblem.png) I also tried android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" but that doesnt help either. <ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/scrollview" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <TextView android:id="@+id/txt1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Krajevna skupnost: " android:layout_alignParentTop="true" /> <Spinner android:id="@+id/spinner1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:prompt="@string/ks_prompt" android:layout_below="@id/txt1" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/txt2" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Zadeva: " android:layout_below="@id/spinner1" /> <Spinner android:id="@+id/spinner2" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:prompt="@string/pod_prompt" android:layout_below="@id/txt2" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/tv1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Zadeva: " android:layout_below="@id/spinner2" /> <EditText android:id="@+id/prvi" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/tv1" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/tv2" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/prvi" android:text="Vsebina: " /> <EditText android:id="@+id/drugi" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/tv2" /> <CheckBox android:id="@+id/cek" android:text="Obvešcaj o odgovoru" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/drugi" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/tv3" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/cek" android:text="Email: " android:visibility="gone"/> <EditText android:id="@+id/tretji" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/tv3" android:visibility="gone" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/tv4" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_below="@id/tretji" android:visibility="gone" android:text="Telefon: " /> <EditText android:id="@+id/cetrti" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_below="@id/tv4" /> <Button android:id="@+id/gumb" android:text="Klikni" android:typeface="serif" android:textStyle="bold" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center" android:layout_below="@id/cetrti" /> </RelativeLayout> </ScrollView>

  • Android multiple spinners

    - by DixieFlatline
Hello! I have 3 spinners (dropdown menus). I would like the user to select item from the first one and that would determine the options(different string array) on the second and on the third spinner. E.g. user selects the country in the first spinner and then gets popular music groups in that country on the second spinner and popular dishes on the third. What is the easiest way to do this?

    The button doesn't show in this layout(code below),image and textview are shown. I tried using relative layout but that doesn't help either. I'm testing it on 1.5 emulator. <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/layout_root" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:padding="10dp" > <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/neki" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/image" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginRight="10dp" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/text" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:textColor="#FFF" android:text="Some text " /> </LinearLayout> <Button android:id="@+id/gumbek" android:text="V redu" android:typeface="serif" android:textStyle="bold" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> </LinearLayout>

  • App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

    - by DixieFlatline
My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else? • Why do i get exc bad access in cases when object is not nil?

    - by DixieFlatline
I have an app that receives remote notifications. My view controller that is shown after push has a tableview. App crashes very randomly (1 in 20 tries) at line setting frame: if (!myTableView) { NSLog(@"self.myTableView is nil"); } myTableView.frame=CGRectMake(0, 70, 320, 376); This only happens when i open the app, then open some other apps and then receive the push notification. I guess it has something to do with memory. I use ARC (ios 5). The strange thing is that nslog is not displayed, so tableview is not nil. • Getting coordinates when clicking anywhere on a MapView

    - by DixieFlatline
I just cant get this working. I tried using the code below with onTouchEventand and it doesn't work. If i return true at the end of the method, i get the toast with the coordinates but can't move a map, and if i return false, i can move a map but cant display a toast after the user clicks on a map. If i get it right, the other onTap method is used only for clicking on a overlays. I am trying to test ForegroundDispatch (http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/nfc/ForegroundDispatch.html) in emulator API 10 (Android 2.3.3). When i call NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this), i get null. Why is this so? Code: public class ForegroundDispatch extends Activity { private NfcAdapter mAdapter; private PendingIntent mPendingIntent; private IntentFilter[] mFilters; private String[][] mTechLists; private TextView mText; private int mCount = 0; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedState) { super.onCreate(savedState); setContentView(R.layout.foreground_dispatch); mText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.text); mText.setText("Scan a tag"); mAdapter = NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this); // Create a generic PendingIntent that will be deliver to this activity. The NFC stack // will fill in the intent with the details of the discovered tag before delivering to // this activity. mPendingIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, new Intent(this, getClass()).addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_SINGLE_TOP), 0); // Setup an intent filter for all MIME based dispatches IntentFilter ndef = new IntentFilter(NfcAdapter.ACTION_NDEF_DISCOVERED); try { ndef.addDataType("*/*"); } catch (MalformedMimeTypeException e) { throw new RuntimeException("fail", e); } mFilters = new IntentFilter[] { ndef, }; // Setup a tech list for all NfcF tags mTechLists = new String[][] { new String[] { NfcF.class.getName() } }; } @Override public void onResume() { super.onResume(); mAdapter.enableForegroundDispatch(this, mPendingIntent, mFilters, mTechLists); //CRASHES HERE BECAUSE mAdapter IS NULL } @Override public void onNewIntent(Intent intent) { Log.i("Foreground dispatch", "Discovered tag with intent: " + intent); mText.setText("Discovered tag " + ++mCount + " with intent: " + intent); } @Override public void onPause() { super.onPause(); mAdapter.disableForegroundDispatch(this); } } My manifest: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="com.neka.znacka" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0"> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="10" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.NFC"></uses-permission> <uses-feature android:name="android.hardware.nfc" android:required="true" /> <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"> <activity android:name=".Uvodna" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> <activity android:name="Simulator"> </activity> </application> Any ideas?

  • Getting all the cookies including those from google analytics from one webpage

    - by DixieFlatline
Hello! I use apache 4 java libs for http get connections. I get all cookies from 2 other pages. But one other webpage contains google analytics cookies(utma,utmz...) and classic session id cookie (checked with firebug). When i try to get the cookies i only get sesson id cookie. Is there any trick to get all the cookies from java in connection with google analytics? If i want to make a http post, it seems that i have to send google analytics cookies too. I can copy my code if somebody wants, but it works on other pages(for printing cookies). Thank you
