  • Best Hardware for a server attached to LCD TV displaying a Flash frontend

    Hello, i need a recomendation on what hardware (PC) to buy in order to achieve this task: I have a webserver (WAMP) running in my laptop, this server has a webapp who can manage information from a user. In a few words, a user enter in my webserver and a php script ask gim for a mensage who get store in a MYSql database, in other hand, inside the same PC there is a flash running with a frontend who take this mensages and shows it. My english is bad, maybe this diagram may help you: Well i want to connect the pc who runs all (Webserver, MySQL server, Flash front end) to a LCD TV in order to create something like an information spot that will be on almost all day (sometimes all day). Do you recomend to have the webserver and the frontend in the same pc? or to separate in two? What hardware do you recomend? i mean, type of pc, with fans or no, please cheap solutions but good. Thanks for your help.

  • What's the difference between the input type "text" and "password" in an html form?

    Hi everybody, this question might seem stupid, but here's the situation: I'm trying to create an auto login page for my mail using jquery's post request, but it's not working, it works with all other pages except with webmail. So, trying to figure out what was wrong, I recreated the login form, here's the code: <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="https://login.hostmonster.com/"> <label>User <input type="text" name="login" id="user" /> </label> <label>Pass <input name="password" type="password" id="pass" /> </label> <input name="doLogin" type="submit" id="doLogin" value="Login"> </form> The strange thing is when you change the input type of pass to text, the form doesn't work! I can't figure out why. Anyway, if you can tell me what's the real difference between the input type text and password (and not what it says everywhere on the net that the only difference is that when you type stars appear instead of characters) I would appreciate it. Also, do you think this is affecting my jquery's post? I'm trying to ressurrect UnderC C/C++ interpreter https://code.google.com/p/underc-fltk/ and I got it to compile with modern mingw compilers 3.4.5 and up, I need some experts advice on some topics: -Yacc/Bison grammar (example some problems with recognizing "unsigned" alone and "friend class") -ARM assembler only one function to call native os functions (X86 already there for windows and linux) -General improvements I expect it to work on WINCE, IPHONE, SYMBIAN in the near future.   • How get all calendar entries for a given using the Notes.Jar for Java

    I am working on a simple java code to extract all calendar entries for a given date. I know it possible using Domingo but I would like to use only Notes.jar for this purpose. It is possible for me to create a session based on a given credentials and get the calendar object. I am looking to extract the current running notes session and use that session object to open the calendar view in the mail file and start playing with it. But I am not able to get it working. Anybody have any idea or links on this ?

    Hi, i have this code: $datos = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM `usuarios` LIMIT 0, 30 "); Who is a simple MySQL query in php, but i need the result organized by date and time. There is a field in my table who has this value (automatic inserted when the user sing up in my page). So the table is something like this: Id Name DT 1 Domingo 2010-04-26 23:00:00 2 Cesar 2010-04-25 12:00:00 3 Nataly 2010-04-26 08:00:00 DT is a "datetime" field. How can i get the result order by new to old? Thanks!
