  • Problems using easing equations in C# XNA

    - by codinghands
    I'm having some trouble using the easing equations suggested by Robert Penner for ActionScript (http://www.robertpenner.com/easing/, and a Flash demo here) in my C# XNA game. Firstly, what is the definition of the following variables passed in as arguments to each equation? float t, float b, float c, float d I'm currently calculating the new X position of a sprite in the Update() loop, however even for the linear tween equation I'm getting some odd results. I'm using the following values: float t = gameTime.TotalGameTime.TotalMilliseconds; float d = 8000f; float b = x.Position.X; float c = (ScreenManager.Game.GraphicsDevice.Viewport.Width >> 1) - (x.Position.X + x.frameSize.X / 2); And this equation for linear easing: float val = c*t/d + b;

  • How to implement JQuery easing into this window scroll movement function?

    - by Mohammad
    With this code I've been able to capture the mousewheel movement and apply it to the horizontal scroll bars instead of the vertical default. $('html').bind('mousewheel', function(event, delta) { window.parent.scrollBy(-120 * delta, 0); return false; }); Is there any way that I could add this jQuery easing animation to the scroll movement? jQuery.extend( jQuery.easing, { easeInOutBack: function (x, t, b, c, d, s) { if (s == undefined) s = 1.70158; if ((t/=d/2) < 1) return c/2*(t*t*(((s*=(1.525))+1)*t - s)) + b; return c/2*((t-=2)*t*(((s*=(1.525))+1)*t + s) + 2) + b; } }); Thank you so much in advance!

  • Easing the Journey to the Private Cloud with Oracle Consulting

    - by MichaelM-Oracle
    By Sanjai Marimadaiah, Senior Director, Strategy & Business Development – Cloud Solutions, Oracle Consulting Services Business leaders are now leading the charge on how their firms can profit from cloud solutions. Agility and innovation are becoming the primary drivers of the business case for the cloud, even more than the anticipated cost savings. Leaders need to find the right strategy and optimize the use of cloud-based applications across their enterprise-computing infrastructure. The Problem – Current State With prevalent IT practices, many organizations find that they run multiple IT solutions serving similar business needs. This has led to the proliferation of technology stacks, for example: Oracle 10g on Sun T4 running Solaris 9; Oracle 11g on Exadata running Linux; or Oracle 12c on commodity x86 servers. This variance has a huge impact on an organization’s agility and expenses, and requires IT professionals with varied skills as well as on-going training for different systems and tools. Fortunately there is a practical business strategy to overcome this unneeded redundancy. Thus begins a journey to the right cloud computing solution. The Solution – Cloud Services from Oracle Consulting Services (OCS) Oracle Consulting Services (OCS ) works closely with our clients as trusted advisors to proactively respond to business needs and IT concerns. OCS understands that making the transition to cloud solutions begins with a strategic conversation, based on its deep expertise for successfully completing private cloud service engagements with several companies. For a journey to the cloud, Oracle Consulting Services leads the client through four phases– standardization, consolidation, service delivery, and enterprise cloud – to achieve optimal returns. Phase 1 - Standardization Oracle Consulting Services (OCS) works with clients to evaluate their business requirements and propose a set of standard solutions stacks for various IT solutions. This is an opportune time to evaluate cloud ready solutions, such as Oracle 12c, Oracle Exadata, and the Oracle Database Appliance (ODA). The OCS consultants, together with the delivery team, then turn to upgrading and migrating existing solution stacks to standardized offerings. OCS has the expertise and tools to complete this stage in a fraction of the time required by other IT services companies. Clients quickly realize cost savings in tools, processes, and type/number of resources required. This standardization also improves agility of the IT organizations and their abilities to respond to the needs of various business units. Phase 2 - Consolidation During the consolidation phase, OCS consultants programmatically consolidate hundreds of databases into a smaller number of servers to improve utilization, reduce floor space, and optimize maintenance costs. Consolidation helps clients realize huge savings in CapEx investments and shrink OpEx costs. The use of engineered systems, such as Oracle Exadata, greatly reduces the client’s risk of moving to a new solution stack. OCS recommends clients to pursue Phase 1 (Standardization) and Phase 2 (Consolidation) simultaneously to reduce the overall time, effort, and expense of the cloud journey. Phase 3 - Service Delivery Once a client is on a path of standardization and consolidation, OCS consultants create Service Catalogues based on the SLAs requirements and the criticality of the solutions. The number and types of Service Catalogues (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.) vary from client to client. OCS consultants also implement a variety of value-added cloud solutions, including monitoring, metering, and charge-back solutions. At this stage, clients are able to achieve a high level of understanding in their cloud journey. Their IT organizations are operating efficiently and are more agile in responding to the needs of business units. Phase 4 - Enterprise Cloud In the final phase of the cloud journey, the economics of the IT organizations change. Business units can request services on-demand; applications can be deployed and consumed on a pay-as-you-go model. OCS has the expertise and capabilities to establish processes, programs, and solutions required for IT organizations to transform how they interact with business units. The Promise of Cloud Solutions Depending the size and complexity of their business model, some clients are able to abbreviate some phases of their cloud journey. Cloud solutions are still evolving and there is rapid pace of innovation to transform how IT organizations operate. The lesson is clear. Cloud solutions hold a lot of promise for business agility. Business leaders can now leverage an additional set of capabilities and services. They can ramp up their pace of innovation. With cloud maturity, they can compete more effectively in their respective markets. But there are certainly challenges ahead. A skilled consulting services partner can play a pivotal role as a trusted advisor in the successful adoption of cloud solutions. Oracle Consulting Services has expertise and a portfolio of services to help clients succeed on their journey to the cloud.

  • How to add ease to this, with jQuery Easing plugin.

    - by user1691441
    I've asked this question previously before, and had a bit of help, but my lack of jQuery skills still didn't accomplish the job. I was wondering if anyone else could help me out with this. I've tried adding easing: "easeIn" right after the duration section, but still didn't work for me. if anyone could help me out that would be wonderful. I'm using the jquery easing plugin $(function() { function scroll(direction) { var scroll, i, positions = [], here = $(window).scrollTop(), collection = $('.part'); collection.each(function() { positions.push(parseInt($(this).offset()['top'],10)); }); for(i = 0; i < positions.length; i++) { if (direction == 'next' && positions[i] > here) { scroll = collection.get(i); break; } if (direction == 'prev' && i > 0 && positions[i] >= here) { scroll = collection.get(i-1); break; } } if (scroll) { $.scrollTo(scroll, { duration: 350 }); } return false; } $("#next,#prev").click(function() { return scroll($(this).attr('id')); }); $(".scrolltoanchor").click(function() { $.scrollTo($($(this).attr("href")), { duration: 350 }); return false; }); });

  • jquery slideshow/cycle with easing not working

    - by Blankman
    Here is my code, for some reason it isn't working when I add the easing option. It works fine with 'fade'. <script src="jquery.easing.1.3.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery.cycle.all.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <style> .pics { height: 383px; width: 582px; padding: 0; margin: 0; } .pics img { padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #ccc; background-color: #eee; width: 550px; height: 350px; top: 0; left: 0 } </style> <div id="cycle" class="pics"> <img src="/images/1.png" width="550" height="350" /> <img src="/images/2.jpg" width="550" height="350"/> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $().ready(function() { $('#cycle').cycle({ fx: 'scrollDown', easing: 'bounceout', delay: -2000 }); }); </script> Is there something else I have to do, to tell the cycle plugin I have easing?

  • Pass easing function as variable in AS3

    - by Andrej
    Hi, I've been looking for some time now.. Is is possible to pass easing function as variable in AS3? eg. TweenLite.to(mcDelimiter, resizeTween, { x:(stageWidthHalf-(initStageWidthHalf-mcDelimiteri_X)), ease:Elastic.easeOut } ); TweenLite.to(mcBody, resizeTween, { x:(stageWidthHalf-(initStageWidthHalf-mcBody_X)), ease:Elastic.easeOut } ); ... now if I at some point want to change "Elastic.easeOut" to something else I would have to change it at multiple parts of the code.. Can it be done so I just pass it as a variable and then if I want to change it, do it only on one place? EDIT: ...also, can for eg. if(currentFrame == "FrameLabel") somehow be done? ..meaning, can I pass the currentFrame label name as a variable? Thanks in advance for anwsers, Andrej

  • jQuery multiple if else Statements

Is there a way to shorten the below code? //Function to activate and deactivate the buttons on the side menu function navIndicator() { var winNow = $(window).scrollTop(); var posRoi = $('#roi').offset(); var posRoiNow = posRoi.top; //Activate the propper button corresponding to what section the user is viewing if (winNow == posRoiNow * 0) { $('#homeBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 } { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#homeBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#homeBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#homeBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow) { $('#roiBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#roiBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#roiBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#roiBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 2) { $('#dmsBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#dmsBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#dmsBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#dmsBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 3) { $('#techBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#techBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#techBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#techBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 4) { $('#impBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#impBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#impBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#impBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 5) { $('#virBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#virBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#virBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#virBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 6) { $('#biBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#biBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#biBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#biBut').removeClass("viewing") } if (winNow == posRoiNow * 7) { $('#contBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 1 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#contBut').addClass("viewing") } else { $('#contBut a img.active').stop().animate({ opacity: 0 }, { queue: false, duration: 300, easing: "easeOutExpo" }); $('#contBut').removeClass("viewing") } };

  • Stop a rotating object at a specified angle?

    - by Krummelz
    I'm working in JavaScript with HTML5 and the canvas. I have an object which is rotating at a certain speed, and I need the object's rotation to slow down gradually and the front of the object to stop at a specified angle. (I'm using radians, not degrees.) I have a variable to keep track of the angle which the object is facing, as it rotates. How would I go about getting the object to come to rest, facing the direction I want it to?

  • Coda Slider and Fancybox Conflict

    - by Jings
    Hey there, i have some issues with Coda Slider and Fancybox. I use Fancybox to load an external Site within an Iframe and Coda Slider is for the Content Slider on the Startpage. If i have the jquery-easing Plugin called in my Head fpr the Coda Slider, the Fancybox doesn't work. When i delete the link to jquery-easing-1.3 the Coda Slider throws an Exception but the Fancybox works perfectly Here is some Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory') ?>/js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory') ?>/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.pack.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory') ?>/js/coda-slider.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory') ?>/js/jquery.easing.1.3.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".book a").fancybox({ 'width' : '75%', 'height' : '75%', 'speedIn' : 600, 'speedOut' : 200, 'overlayShow' : true, 'type' : 'iframe', 'autoscale' : false, 'hideOnOverlayClick' : true }); $('#coda-slider').codaSlider({ autoSlide: true, autoSlideInterval: 5500, autoHeightEaseDuration: 2500, autoHeightEaseFunction: "easeInOutElastic", slideEaseDuration: 2500, slideEaseFunction: "easeInOutElastic", dynamicArrows: false, dynamicTabs: false }); }); </script> Don't know why this doesn't work as it should :) Hope you Guys know =)

  • WPF: Can I use VisualStateManager to change alignment?

    - by kennethkryger
    Hi, I've got this "object-stack" - Window --- Grid (VerticalAlignment = Stretch) ----- Border (VerticalAlignment = Stretch OR Top) The Border a primitive UserControl right now to keep things simple for me. I'd like to be able to use the VisualStateManager to toggle the VerticalAlignment-property of the Border, so that the "Normal-state" equals VerticalAlignment.Top and "Expanded-state" equals VerticalAlignment.Stretch. Is this possible? Also, I'd like to use an easing function, when swithing between the two states.

  • Seeking jQuery-based transition library

    - by justSteve
    I'm looking for a library (or plugin) that help me create a slideshow where (besides the simple ordering of images) I'm able to define the beginning and ending positions (either X/Y, or Zooms) for a given image and the plugin animates the intervening steps between them. Flash has a number of tools/libs like this, i'm sure jQuery has seen similar. Ideally something that offers a range of easing effects as well. I understand these elements are native to jQuery...i'm looking for a time-tested wrapper. thx

  • Make a div fall off the page

    - by Daniel Hertz
    Hey, So I have been playing with jQuery for a good time now and I'm trying to get an effect to work properly. I have a main square div in the middle of the page and when someone clicks a link I want the box to look like its falling off the page and disappear, revealing a new page behind it. I'v been playing with the easing plugin but I can seem to get what I want to work. Basically I have the div's top margin or just top distance increased to a large number. However, this just makes the div fall but it also expands my page and its just much lower on the page. I basically want the div to fall out of site and not change the dimensions of the site. Anyone know how to do that? Thanks! Danny

    - by Naor
    I have two jquery animations one by other: books.animate({ left: left1 }, { duration: this.slideDuration, easing: this.easing, complete: complete }); laptops.animate({ left: left2 }, { duration: this.slideDuration, easing: this.easing, complete: complete }); I want the animations to run simultanusly so I use {queue: false}: books.animate({ left: left1 }, { duration: this.slideDuration, easing: this.easing, queue: false, complete: complete }); laptops.animate({ left: left2 }, { duration: this.slideDuration, easing: this.easing, queue: false, complete: complete }); But now the completed callback called twice! How can I know exactly when does the both animations are done?

  • Animate/Ease an element to position when other elements disappear

    - by Jonathan
    Please take a look at this fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/dhcyA/ Try clicking on a block. What I want is that when the other elements disapear, the selected block will animate/ease to his giving position instead of just jumping like it does now. Then the same animation repeats itself when clicking again on the box, but then back to place. Maybe to keep in mind: I'm using a reponsive design, which means those blocks can be vertical and horizontal after scaling the window. Any redevisions on the fiddle or suggustions would be great!

  • Can VMWare Server 2.0 be useful in Production for easing backups?

    - by Keith Sirmons
    Howdy, Let's run this idea by the group here. I am thinking about using VMWare Server in production to host a 2008 Domain Controller with DHCP and DNS, a 2008 member server with WSUS, some virus software, and other "management" utilities a second 2008 member server with SQL, IIS, and File Shares for a medium business of 50-100 desktops. The reason I am leaning toward Server vs ESXi is for backup purposes. Using ESXi, if I want to backup the VM's, I would need a second server in the office with enough storage availability to hold a copy of the vmdks. I am wondering if putting this virtual environment on top of a basic 2008 server install will allow for easier backups to both tape and/or to offsite storage using JungleDisk. Can a snapshot be triggered easily via a scheduled job? I know this doesn't necessarily handle file level restores, but I want to make sure in a DR situation, we can restore production servers quickly. Does this concept hold water? Would a very minimum install of the 2008 Host remove too many resources from the actual production machines? This would be a new Dell 410 server with 12 GB ram and (6) 600 GB 15K in a RAID 6, Dual Intel Xeon 2.26GHz procs.

  • What is the exact rule of jQuery's animate() parameters?

    - by Jian Lin
    jQuery 1.4.2's animate() API spec is .animate( properties, [ duration ], [ easing ], [ callback ] ) but it seems that we can supply duration, callback, and no easing .animate({left: '+= 100'}, 600, doThis) and it will work. But if we supply easing and callback and no duration .animate({left: '+=100'}, 'swing', doThis) then the easing won't be taken into effect. So what exactly is the API supposed to be?

  • Alert Box Running First?

    - by corymathews
    I have some jQuery/JS below. The first thing to run is the alert box at the end. $(document).ready(function() { $("#id1 img , .msg").stop().animate( { width: '300px', height: '300px'}, { duration: 'slow', easing: 'easeInSine' }).pause(3000); $(".msg").animate( { width: '50px', height: '50px' }, { duration: 498, easing: 'easeOutSine' }); $("#id1 img").animate( { width: '50px', height: '50px' }, { duration: 500, easing: 'easeOutSine' }); $("#id1 img , .msg").animate( { width: '300px',height: '300px'}, { duration: 'slow', easing: 'easeInSine' }).pause(3000); alert('eh?'); }); I do have a easing plugin. If I run this the alert will show, and then the first animate will happen in the background but not be shown. It will just appear at the final size. Shouldn't the alert run at the end of all the animation? Can anyone explain why this is happening?

  • jQuery gallery scrolling effect with ease

    - by Sebastian Otarola
    So, I got this page from a friend and I think the gallery is amazingly done. Too bad it's in Flash ; http://selected.com/en/#/collection/homme/ Now, I'm trying to replicate the effect with jQuery. I've made all the loco searches on google one could think of. Zooming the picture is not a problem, the problem lies within the scrolling, how they come together at the ease part. I'm looking for solution in how to make the thumbnail animate when you scroll the page, they drag behind and infront of each other in a very subtle way - I've got (With a lot of help from Whirl3d in the jQuery-irc channel) this for the scrollup/down part of the mouse but the scrolling goes haywire; I Thought I post it here where I've come many times to get answers to a lot of questions and code-errors. This is my first post in stackoverflow and I know you guys are geniuses! Give it a shot! Thanks in advance! jQuery Part $(document).ready(function() { var fronts=$(".front"); var backs=$(".back"); var tempScrollTop, currentScrollTop = 0; $(document).scroll(function () { currentScrollTop = $(document).scrollTop(); if (tempScrollTop < currentScrollTop) { //Scroll down fronts.animate({marginTop:"-=100"},{duration:500, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); backs.animate({marginTop:"-=100"}, {duration:300, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); console.log('scroll down'); } else if (tempScrollTop > currentScrollTop) { //scroll up fronts.animate({marginTop:"+=100"},{duration:500, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); backs.animate({marginTop:"+=100"}, {duration:300, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); console.log('scroll up'); } tempScrollTop = currentScrollTop ;}) ;}); The HTML <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.paigeharvey.net/assets/js/jquery.easing.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="gallery.js"></script> <title>Parallax testing image gallery</title> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <div class='box front'>First Group</div> <div class='box back'>First Group</div> <div class='box front'>First Group</div> <div class='box back'>First Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> <div class='box front'>Second Group</div> <div class='box back'>Second Group</div> <div class='box front'>Second Group</div> <div class='box back'>Second Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> <div class='box front'>Third Group</div> <div class='box back'>Third Group</div> <div class='box front'>Third Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> </div> </body> And finally the CSS Part .container {margin: auto; width: 410px; border: 1px solid red;} .box.front{border: 1px solid red;background-color:Black;color:white;z-Index:500;} .box.back {border: 1px solid green;z-Index:300;background-color:white;} .box {float:left; text-align:center; width:100px; height:100px;}

I don't know much about jquery but I tried to set the left button from opacity o to 100 or 1 and it didn't work the button showed up once but did not work. Does anyone know how to do this? Here is the code: (function($) { $.fn.ContentSlider = function(options) { var defaults = { leftBtn : 'images/panel_previous_btn.gif', rightBtn : 'images/panel_next_btn.gif', width : '900px', height : '400px', speed : 400, easing : 'easeOutQuad', textResize : false, IE_h2 : '26px', IE_p : '11px' } var defaultWidth = defaults.width; var o = $.extend(defaults, options); var w = parseInt(o.width); var n = this.children('.cs_wrapper').children('.cs_slider').children('.cs_article').length; var x = -1*w*n+w; // Minimum left value var p = parseInt(o.width)/parseInt(defaultWidth); var thisInstance = this.attr('id'); var inuse = false; // Prevents colliding animations function moveSlider(d, b) { var l = parseInt(b.siblings('.cs_wrapper').children('.cs_slider').css('left')); if(isNaN(l)) { var l = 0; } var m = (d=='left') ? l-w : l+w; if(m<=0&&m>=x) { b .siblings('.cs_wrapper') .children('.cs_slider') .animate({ 'left':m+'px' }, o.speed, o.easing, function() { inuse=false; }); if(b.attr('class')=='cs_leftBtn') { var thisBtn = $('#'+thisInstance+' .cs_leftBtn'); var otherBtn = $('#'+thisInstance+' .cs_rightBtn'); } else { var thisBtn = $('#'+thisInstance+' .cs_rightBtn'); var otherBtn = $('#'+thisInstance+' .cs_leftBtn'); } if(m==0||m==x) { thisBtn.animate({ 'opacity':'0' }, o.speed, o.easing, function() { thisBtn.hide(); }); } if(otherBtn.css('opacity')=='0') { otherBtn.show().animate({ 'opacity':'1' }, { duration:o.speed, easing:o.easing }); } } } function vCenterBtns(b) { // Safari and IE don't seem to like the CSS used to vertically center // the buttons, so we'll force it with this function var mid = parseInt(o.height)/2; b .find('.cs_leftBtn img').css({ 'top':mid+'px', 'padding':0 }).end() .find('.cs_rightBtn img').css({ 'top':mid+'px', 'padding':0 }); } return this.each(function() { $(this) // Set the width and height of the div to the defined size .css({ width:o.width, height:o.height }) // Add the buttons to move left and right .prepend('<a href="#" class="cs_leftBtn"><img src="'+o.leftBtn+'" /></a>') .append('<a href="#" class="cs_rightBtn"><img src="'+o.rightBtn+'" /></a>') // Dig down to the article div elements .find('.cs_article') // Set the width and height of the div to the defined size .css({ width:o.width, height:o.height }) .end() // Animate the entrance of the buttons .find('.cs_leftBtn') .css('opacity','0') .hide() .end() .find('.cs_rightBtn') .hide() .animate({ 'width':'show' }); // Resize the font to match the bounding box if(o.textResize===true) { var h2FontSize = $(this).find('h2').css('font-size'); var pFontSize = $(this).find('p').css('font-size'); $.each(jQuery.browser, function(i) { if($.browser.msie) { h2FontSize = o.IE_h2; pFontSize = o.IE_p; } }); $(this).find('h2').css({ 'font-size' : parseFloat(h2FontSize)*p+'px', 'margin-left' : '66%' }); $(this).find('p').css({ 'font-size' : parseFloat(pFontSize)*p+'px', 'margin-left' : '66%' }); $(this).find('.readmore').css({ 'font-size' : parseFloat(pFontSize)*p+'px', 'margin-left' : '66%' }); } // Store a copy of the button in a variable to pass to moveSlider() var leftBtn = $(this).children('.cs_leftBtn'); leftBtn.bind('click', function() { if(inuse===false) { inuse = true; moveSlider('right', leftBtn); } return false; // Keep the link from firing }); // Store a copy of the button in a variable to pass to moveSlider() var rightBtn = $(this).children('.cs_rightBtn'); rightBtn.bind('click', function() { if(inuse===false) { inuse=true; moveSlider('left', rightBtn); } return false; // Keep the link from firing }); }); } })(jQuery)

  • Jquery Cycle Plugin Question - turning off relative links to photos so it goes to a URL

    - by alpdog14
    I am using Jquery Cycle Plugin and it has a side panel that highlights as the photos change and currently when I click on the text the associated photo pulls up then I have to click on the photo to go to the URL but I would like the text itself to link to the URL. I have looked at the fn.cycle.defaults but not sure what to change and I tried a few things but nothing works. If anyone can help me figure this out it would be most helpful. Here are the fn.cycle.defaults: fx: 'fade', // one of: fade, shuffle, zoom, scrollLeft, etc timeout: 4000, // milliseconds between slide transitions (0 to disable auto advance) continuous: 0, // true to start next transition immediately after current one completes speed: 1000, // speed of the transition (any valid fx speed value) speedIn: null, // speed of the 'in' transition speedOut: null, // speed of the 'out' transition next: null, // id of element to use as click trigger for next slide prev: null, // id of element to use as click trigger for previous slide prevNextClick: null, // callback fn for prev/next clicks: function(isNext, zeroBasedSlideIndex, slideElement) pager: null, // id of element to use as pager container pagerClick: null, // callback fn for pager clicks: function(zeroBasedSlideIndex, slideElement) pagerEvent: null, // event which drives the pager navigation pagerAnchorBuilder: null, // callback fn for building anchor links before: null, // transition callback (scope set to element to be shown) after: null, // transition callback (scope set to element that was shown) end: null, // callback invoked when the slideshow terminates (use with autostop or nowrap options) easing: null, // easing method for both in and out transitions easeIn: null, // easing for "in" transition easeOut: null, // easing for "out" transition shuffle: null, // coords for shuffle animation, ex: { top:15, left: 200 } animIn: null, // properties that define how the slide animates in animOut: null, // properties that define how the slide animates out cssBefore: null, // properties that define the initial state of the slide before transitioning in cssAfter: null, // properties that defined the state of the slide after transitioning out fxFn: null, // function used to control the transition height: 'auto', // container height startingSlide: 0, // zero-based index of the first slide to be displayed sync: 1, // true if in/out transitions should occur simultaneously random: 0, // true for random, false for sequence (not applicable to shuffle fx) fit: 0, // force slides to fit container pause: true, // true to enable "pause on hover" autostop: 0, // true to end slideshow after X transitions (where X == slide count) autostopCount: 0, // number of transitions (optionally used with autostop to define X) delay: 0, // additional delay (in ms) for first transition (hint: can be negative) slideExpr: null, // expression for selecting slides (if something other than all children is required) cleartype: 0, // true if clearType corrections should be applied (for IE) nowrap: 0 // true to prevent slideshow from wrapping }; I have tried changing the pageClick and pagerEvent but nothing seems to be working. Please help!!!
