• SBS 2008 DNS issues in BPA

  I'm gettng constant Critical Issue events in the Small Business Server Best Practices Analyser & resulting SBS Console reports that begin "The DNS client is not configured to point only to the internal IP address of the server.". When I check the DNS Manager, there are two separate IPs listed, one ***.***.***.2 and the other ***.***.***.28. I have checked online after an ipconfig /all and have found the reason for this to be that the second IP is created by DHCP for RAS & VPN purposes. It seems to cause no conflicts of any detrimental result apart from constantly sending me error messages and alerted reports. Does anyone know of a way that I can change settings somewhere so that Windows accepts this second IP, or at least stops alerting me of its prescence? Perhaps a registry hack of some kind...? • Computers displaying an unwanted password change prompt

  We run a small network of users from a central SBS 2008 server that handles group policy & AD. Most of our users operate under a policy that propts them for a password change every 6 months as a security measure, with a few administrator accounts & terminal machines not using the policy for the sake of ease as they are needed all the time. Recently all machines regardless of policy have started asking for a password change out of schedule. Some PCs run Windows 7 & some XP, though the password prompts don't seem to discriminate between OS. What could this be down to? Many thanks

• Exchange 2010 remote access

  Does anyone know how to configure more addresses for remote access to Outlook on our SBS 2008? Currently you can go to either 'https://remote.site.co.uk/remote' to acces the remote web workspace or 'https://remote.site.co.uk/owa' to go straight to remote exchange access. I would like to set it up so that by going to 'https://remote.site.co.uk/exchange' it takes you to same place that '/owa' would. Does anybody know if this is possible, and if so how? Many thanks

• XPS M1730 Freezing & Crashing unexpectedly

  I have a Dell XPS M1730, freshly installed with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit that every so often crashes completely unexpectedly. It need not be running any applications at all for this to happen, never mind anything particularly intensive. It also clearly is not a BSoD issue as no Minidump files are being created in the process. All drivers are up to date and have been both rolled back and then updated and the Device Manager reports no issues. There are very few applications installed on the machine and it has only been online once. It runs a minimal boot of Win7 and yet still after all of this something is making it crash. All of this suggests to me it may be more like a hardware problem but to be honest I really have no idea - so I thought I'd try here. Any thoughts...? Many thanks in advance

• SBS Report displaying critical error events but nothing in Event Viewer

  We have a Windows Server server set up running SBS 2008 on a 64-bit architecture. When I run my daily SBS Console reports I am being told there is a critical error on the server with Event ID 56 & Source "TermDD". This is all fairly regular behaviour and I have plenty of sites I would normally troubleshoot errors on but the strange thing is there are no errors appearing in the Windows Event Viewer & I can find no help on why this might be... Has anyone experienced this before / know what might be the cause? Many thanks
