windows 7 start menu's search "see more results" broken

After searching in my start menu and clicking to "see more results", I got an error dialog: It "seems" that it should be search-ms:query=document an not search:query=document but where can I fix this? Additional info: New user account don't have the problem. Windows 7 Ultimate - RTM Disabling/Enabling again "Windows Search" (in Start Control Panel Programs Turn Windows Features on or off) doesn't fix it. (There's a HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Search in my registry that's not there normally.) - outdated see comments... Update: It could help me to diagnose, if someone send me any (hidden) files in %userprofile%\searches and some others pieces of registry: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.search-ms HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.searchConnector-ms HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SearchFolder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Associations\UrlAssociations\SEARCH HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Search Any other related key that I don't have seen... How to generate thumbnails for less common video containers (mkv, ogm, mp4, flv, rmvb and mov) in wi

So how to generate thumbnails for these containers? I know that the install of "DivX Plus Tech Preview: MKV on Windows 7" does it for MKV. But I think that only some registry changes are really necessary and I want it for other containers. If it's possible to avoiding the install of (always bloated) codecs packs it would be nice... Maybe only installing ffdshow or essential and separated codecs. (some time ago I have try reg files for vista without success...) Update: I have installed Win7codecs & tweaked a little its settings and I got almost everything I want. (I have also re-installed the relevant part of the divx plus tech preview to get something else than an all black preview for MKV) Issues that I still want to resolve: Find a cleaner & lighter method Almost all my rmvb and mov files got an all black preview (installing real media/quick time alternative doesn't help, is it the same with the officials?) With almost all containers (avi, mkv, ogm, mpg), I have (few) random files that don't get the preview. I could play them in WMP or another player and don't have found a pattern in the codecs used. All wmv, flv and mp4 have previews but I have less files in these containers. (I clear my thumbnails cache to test them) More generally I would like to understand how windows handle the containers & codecs to generate the previews. And a software that let me choose arbitrarily the pictures previewed would be convenient too

Is there a way to determine which service (in svchost.exe) does an outgoing connection?

I'm redoing my firewall configuration with more restrictive policies and I would like to determine the provenance (and/or destination) of some outgoing connections. I have an issue because they come from svchost.exe and go to web content/application delivery providers - or similar: 5 IP in range: 82.96.58.0 - 82.96.58.255 --> Akamai Technologies akamaitechnologies.com 3 IP in range: 93.150.110.0 - 93.158.111.255 --> Akamai Technologies akamaitechnologies.com 2 IP in range: 87.248.194.0 - 87.248.223.255 --> LLNW Europe 2 llnw.net 205.234.175.175 --> CacheNetworks, Inc. cachefly.net 188.121.36.239 --> Go Daddy Netherlands B.V. secureserver.net So is it possible to know which service does a particular connection? Or what's your recommendation about the rules applied to these ones? (Comodo Firewall & Windows 7) Update: netstat -ano & tasklist /svc help me a little but they are many services in one svchost.exe so it's still an issue. moreover the service names returned by "tasklist /svc" are not easy readable. (All the connections are HTTP (port 80) but I don't think it's relevant)

How can I organize movies, with IMDB import and fields for tags?

How can I organize movies on Windows? Features wanted: IMDB import fields: director, genre, year, actors,... covers manage DVD / BD / ripped AVIs, MKV moving/renaming files according fields I want to achieve something like: M:\Movies\Director\year. title (genre).avi A syntax that lets me choose how I organize my files (like foobar2000 & mp3 files) according IMDB and personal tags would be great. Auto fetch covers and listing of not-yet-ripped/yet-to-be-seen/wanted/loaned movies (txt, HTML or whatever) would be some nice features too.
