• What is ltmain.sh, and why does automake say it is missing? What is a good auto (make/conf/etc) gene

  I just want to develop a C app in linux with the auto(make/conf/...) stuff automatically generated. I tried generating it with ede and anjuta, but it doesn't seem to generate Makefile.am. So, I tried running automake, and it says "ltmain.sh" isn't found. Is there some easy to generate the basic build files for linux C/C++ apps. What is the standard practice? Do most people write these files themselves?

  I had Visual Studio 2010 beta 1 installed, and I removed. Now, when I try to crate a project in Visual Studio 2008. I get the error "MSBUildToolsPath is not specified for the ToolsVersion "4.0" defined at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSBuild\TOolsVersions\4.0", or the value specified evaluates to the empty string". How do I change the ToolsVersion to "3.5", so it works?

• What is the best way to use MySQL full-text search with a self-join?

  I want to do something like: select a.a_ft,count(b.a_ft) FROM row a JOIN row b on match a.a_ft against (b.b_ft). However, this isn't legal. Basically, I just want to look for similar phrases in my database. What is the easiest way to do this?
