  • How to handle concurrent web requests

    I am having a simple webservice running in my local system, hosted in IIS 6.0. This webservice is accessible from any other system (within LAN and Internet) and everything works fine as long as the number of systems accessing my webservice is very much limited. Whereas, if more number of users (say 500) are concurrently trying to access my webservice, an exception is thrown saying 'Server is busy'. When i browsed in net, i found that IIS can handle only 100-150 web requests concurrently. What should i do to make my webservice accessible from more than 500 users, concurrently? Thanks in advance.   • Problem in enabling mod_rewrite in Ubuntu.

    Hi, I am trying to change from windows to linux server. And for that i am trying to enable mod_write in ubuntu. I have taken all the necessary steps to enable the mod_rewrite as mod_rewrite is displayed under loaded modules. I have set all the permissions for the .htacess file. But for some reason the rewrite does not appear to be working in the linux server. It was working fine while i was using the same code in windows server. Can anyone please help me in this issue. Your help will be really appreciated. Thanks. Rajan.

  • Unable to use .xjb file inside wsdlc ant task

    Hi, I have a requirement of customize the default conversion provided by JAXB. For the xs:date type we need to show only the date part(removing the time). I have created an .xjb file and used the xjc command to generate the required classes. This is working perfectly and I got the desired results. Since in our project we create the web service jars using ant I tried to include it inside the wsdlc ant task I get the error as: dateFormatter.xjb is not a xsd config file. <target name="generate-service-from-wsdl" depends="validate-weblogic, clean"> <taskdef name="wsdlc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.WsdlcTask" /> <wsdlc srcWsdl="${sourceWsdl}/My_Gateway.wsdl" verbose="on" destJwsDir="${targetDir}" destImplDir="${targetDir}/impl" packageName="${servicePackage}" > <xsdConfig dir="wsdls/xjb" includes="dateFormatter.xjb"/> </wsdlc> </target> I am using Weblogic 9.2 and tried the using Weblogic 10.3 jar using the binding tag instead of xsdConfig.   • Client A can ping server S, but client B cannot

When I try to ping the server from client computer A I get the following: PING 74.208.192.xxx ==> Ping fails PING 74.208.192.xxx:80 ==> Ping succeeds! From client computer B, BOTH the pings fail. PING 74.208.192.xxx ==> Ping fails PING 74.208.192.xxx:80 ==> Ping fails with a message "Ping request could not find host 74.208.192.xxx:80" Both clients A and B are on the same subnet. The server is outside (a virtual server hosted by an ISP) I have an ASP.NET application in a virtual directory on the server. In IE or firefox, if I enter http://74.208.192.xxx/subdir/subdir/../Default.aspx, it works from both the clients! The server has default firewall settings but web server enabled (Port 80 is open). From client A (note the different 'reply to' address when the ping succeeds. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC>ping 74.208.192.xx Pinging 74.208.192.xx with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. ... Request timed out. My main problem is I have a web service (asmx) file and the web service client program is not able to access it from client B, but able to access it from client A. I am trying to find out why and thought this ping issue may shed some light. I can ping yahoo.com both the computers.

  • Ctrl W s not splitting windows in vim

    I am trying to use Ctrl+ws to split a window in vim. However it is not working in my case. I opened a file using vim filename. Then I pressed Ctrl+ws. But as soon as I press just Ctrl+w it clears the viewport and I could see my shell display before vim opened the file. I mean the view port is replaced by the content just before the file was opened. However, I am still editing the file with vim. Suggestions?

  • Print "1 followed by googolplex number of zeros" [closed]

    Assuming we are not concerned about running time of the program (which is practically infinite for human mortals), we want to print out in base 10, the exact value of 10^(googolplex), one digit at a time (mostly zeros). Describe an algorithm (which can be coded on current day computers), or write a program to do this. Since we cannot practically check the output, so we will rely on collective opinion on the correctness of the program. NOTE : I do not know the solution, or whether a solution exists or not. The problem is my own invention. To those readers who think this is not a CS question... kindly reconsider. This is difficult and bit theoretical but definitely CS.

    Is it possible to read cookie expiration time with php ? When I print_r($_COOKIE) it outputs: Array ( [PHPSESSID] => 0afef6bac83a7db8abd9f87b76838d7f [userId] => 1232 [userEmail] => [email protected] [firstName] => user [lastName] => user ) So I think $_COOKIE don't have the expiration time, is it possible with some other function?

  • Is there any way to simplify a verbose SQL INSERT INTO(..) query?

    I have a table with one id (autonumber) field and 50 other fields. The table is normalized, these are 50 material properties etc. I want to copy a record from this table into the same table - only the autoincrement id will be different. The query I am using now is INSERT INTO tableName (field1,field2,....field50) SELECT field1,field2,....field50 from tableName WHERE autoid=1234; Note that I have to type in ALL the 50 field names, twice! Is there any way to shorten this query so I don't have to type all of them? Thanks.
