  • Problem with VPN using 2 Wire Router with a Linksys Router.

    I am having a problem with a VPN between a 2 Wire router and a Linksys router. 2 wire is the client PC using Linksys Quick VPN software and Linksys RVS4000 is the server. The PC is not the issue. It works on a different network not using 2 wire. Also the Linksys RVS4000 is not the issue, 3 other user can VPN to it with no problem not using 2 Wire. The problem is with 2 Wire. The client PC is getting this error: "The remote gateway is not responding" What configuration changes are needed on the 2 Wire router (port, UPNP, etc...) and what changes are needed if any on the Linksys RVS4000? Thanks.

  • Google Analytics Filters not removing traffic from other domain

    We have a frustrating problem where someone copied our site code including our Google Analytics code. So we are getting stats logged from their site which is very frustrating. I have setup 4 Filters, each trying to disallow any traffic from this other website, but still their traffic is being shown, including on the Real Time section. Do Filters even work to exclude traffic? Here is how I have it setup: Neither of these seem to help at all.

  • Calling functions from different classes

    I'm writing a program and I'm supposed to check and see if a certain object is in the list before I call it. I set up the contains() method which is supposed to use the equals() method of the Comparable interface I implemented on my Golfer class but it doesn't seem to call it (I put print statements in to check). I'm almost positive the problem has to do with the find() function in the ArraySortedList not calling my equals() method. I tried using some other functions that relied on the find() method and got the same results.

    I've just bought a second monitor for my PC which happens to be a pivot monitor. I've already read lots of forums related to my problem but haven't come across a solution - I have the same symptoms as dozens of posts but no matter whatever I try it just doesn't work. I've already changed the xorg.conf file and added in the device section just under Driver "nvidia" the following for my second monitor: Option "RandRRotation" "on" When I save and reboot I try to rotate my screen with the nvidia X server settings by choosing the second monitor and clicking either "left" or "right" for the rotation. It immediately exits the nvidia settings window and does nothing. I tried within the terminal by typing: xrandr -o right I get the following error: X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 154 (RANDR) Minor opcode of failed request: 2 (RRSetScreenConfig) Serial number of failed request: 14 Current serial number in output stream: 14 I actually manage to rotate it with Option "Rotate" "CCW" instead of "RandRRotation". The problem with this solution is that you get the second monitor in the right position, but any window you open on that screen is practically unchangeable. You can't change the size nor move it, making it useless for reading PDFs, which is the main reason why I bought this second screen to help me write my thesis.   • Using a buffalo wl12-pci-g54s on Debian Linux

    I have a buffalo wl12-pci-g54s wireless card that I want to install in my PC running Debian. I need this so I can move the server to a better location in another room. So, is there an easy way to do this? Some package that I can install and get up and running? Other instructions that I found online have been confusing. I am also using a static IP, so I need to retain that when I make the switch. Thanks!

  • Outlook 2010 email tracking

    I have outlook 2007. Is there a way in 2007 or the 2010 version to have all the emails posted to read for a certain contact. When I click history it takes about 2 minutes for it to load and is frustrating. As simple as this seems I simply want to see all the emails gone back and forth with a contact when I open that contact.

    Within the last day, in Internet Explorer 8, the developer tools window will not show up. When I hit F12 or use menu Tools - Developer Tools I get the Developer Tools entry in the Task Bar but the actual window will not show up. It has been running fine for a month or so. I have tried rebooting with no luck.

    I have set up one of my core data attributes as a Boolean. Now, I need to set it, but XCode keeps telling me that it may not respond to setUseGPS. [ride setUseGPS: useGPS.on]; What is the method for setting a boolean in core data? All my other attributes are set this way, and they work great. So, not sure why a boolean does not work to be set this way?

    I am trying to use CoreData to populate a UITableView. I have been using the developer "Locations" project, and I think I have everything correct. But, now I am getting the following error when I build: request for member 'tableView' in something not a structure or union Why would it be confused about tableView? I am using it many times in the methods.   • Example: Objective C method alongside a php method

    I am very used to javascript and php programing, and I just jumped into programing Objective C. After working with it for a few weeks, the methods still confused me, as to how it is passing params, and how the methods are named.   • PHP: Class to parse OGG and .ogv files?

    I am looking for a php class that can parse ogg and .ogv files so that I can get some of the metadata out of the files, such as comments, bitrate, length, etc. I have found this: http://opensource.grisambre.net/ogg/ but after testing it, it does not seem to parse and of the files that I test it with. Has anyone had luck with an alternative? I would use getID3(), but it does not support ogg video.

  • Does jQuery strip some html elements from a string when using .html()?

    I have a var that contains a full html page, including the head, html, body, etc. When I pass that string into the .html() function, jQuery strips out all those elements, such as body, html, head, etc, which I don't want. My data var contains: <html> <head> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> </body> </html> // data is a full html document string data = $('<div/>').html(data); // jQuery stips my document string! alert(data.find('head').html()); I am needing to manipulate a full html page string, so that I can return what is in the element. I would like to do this with jQuery, but it seems all of the methods, append(), prepend() and html() all try to convert the string to dom elements, which remove all the other parts of a full html page. Is there another way that I could do this? I would be fine using another method. My final goal is to find certain elements inside my string, so I figured jQuery would be best, since I am so used to it. But, if it is going to trim and remove parts of my string, I am going to have to look for another method. Ideas?

  • Mapkit: Only show annotations in current view

    Instead of loading all annotations that are in my array, I would only like to load the annotations that the user could currently see cased on how far they are zoomed in on the map. So, if the user pans to a place where there are annotations, those would be added, and if they pan away, those would be removed. I assume this would help with memory. Does anyone know how to do something like this? And, is it worth it, or needed?

    XCode is warning me that Blocks support is disabled, and to compile with -fblocks. I have added -fblocks to the Other Linker Flags section. But compiling again gives me the same error. I am using iOS4 GM. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • iPhone SDK: Interface Builder label font, only shows when editing label

    I have tried this on a few installations of the 3.1.3 SDK. When I add a label to my view, I would like to change the font to something like Futura. I know how to change the font, but, for some reason, it does not show that it is changed. ONLY when I edit the label by double clicking, do I see my new font. And, this is the only time that I do get to see the new font, is when editing the label. Why does this happen? How can I change the font of my labels, and have it show up? Why would I care to have the font changed when I edit the label?!

I can successfully find the object that I want, but I need to also get the indexPath of that object, so that I can push a details view in for that object.   • ColdFusion structs Direct Assignment vs object literal notation.

    The newer versions of ColdFusion (I believe CF 8 and 9) allow you to create structs with object literal notation similar to JSON. My question is, are there specific benefits (execution efficiency maybe) to using object literal notation over individual assignments for data that is essentially static? For example: With individual assignments you would do something like this: var user = {}; user.Fname = "MyFirstnam"; user.Lname = "MyLastName"; user.titles = []; ArrayAppend(user.titles,'Mr'); ArrayAppend(user.titles,'Dr.'); Whereas with object literals you would do something like. var user = {Fname = "MyFirstnam", Lname = "MyLastName", titles = ['Mr','Dr']}; Now this limited example is admittedly simple, but if titles was an array of structures (Say an array of addresses), the literal notation becomes awkward to work with.

  • Objective C: Create arrays from first array based on value

    I have an array of strings that are comma separated such as: Steve Jobs,12,CA Fake Name,21,CA Test Name,22,CA Bill Gates,44,WA Bill Nye,21,OR I have those values in an NSScanner object so that I can loop through the values and get each comma seperated value using objectAtIndex. So, what I would like to do, is group the array items into new arrays, based on a value, in this case, State. So, from those, I need to loop through, checking which state they are in, and push those into a new array, one array per state. CA Array: Steve Jobs,12,CA Fake Name,21,CA Test Name,22,CA WA Array: Bill Gates,44,WA OR Array: Bill Nye,21,OR So in the end, I would have 3 new arrays, one for each state. Also, if there were additional states used in the first array, those should have new arrays created also. Any help would be appreciated!

    I have two views, the first view has an MKMapView on it named ridesMap. The second view is just a view with a UITableView in it. When you click the save button in the second view, it calls a method from the first view: // Get my first views class MyRidesMapViewController *rideMapView = [[MyRidesMapViewController alloc] init]; // Call the method from my first views class that removes an annotation [rideMapView addAnno:newRidePlacemark.coordinate withTitle:rideTitle.text withSubTitle:address]; This correctly calls the addAnno method, which looks like: - (void)addAnno:(CLLocationCoordinate2D)anno withTitle:(NSString *)annoTitle withSubTitle:(NSString *)subTitle { Annotation *ano = [[[Annotation alloc] init] autorelease]; ano.coordinate = anno; ano.title = annoTitle; ano.subtitle = subTitle; if ([ano conformsToProtocol:@protocol(MKAnnotation)]) { NSLog(@"YES IT DOES!!!"); } [ridesMap addAnnotation:ano]; }//end addAnno This method creates an annotation which does conform to MKAnnotation, and it suppose to add that annotation to the map using the addAnnotation method. But, the annotation never gets added. I NEVER get any errors when the annotation does not get added. But it never appears when the method is called. Why would this be? It seems that I have done everything correctly, and that I am passing a correct MKAnnotation to the addAnnotation method. So, I don't get why it never drops a pin? Could it be because I am calling this method from another view? Why would that matter?

  • iPhone: Remove annotation from MKMapView which is in another view

    I have two views. The first is a MKMapView with some annotations. Clicking a UIButton pushes a second view on the stack. This has a UITableView with a list of annotations which correspond to the map annotations. So, when you click the delete button, how can I call my MKMapView which is in another view, so that I can remove the annotation. My MKMapView is declared in my app delegate, as well as my current class. I am trying to use the following, but it is not working: RideAppDelegate *appDelegate = (RideAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; Annotation *ano; CLLocationCoordinate2D anoPoint; anoPoint.latitude = [[eventToDelete valueForKey:@"latitude"] doubleValue]; anoPoint.longitude = [[eventToDelete valueForKey:@"longitude"] doubleValue]; ano = [[[Annotation alloc] init] autorelease]; ano.coordinate = anoPoint; [appDelegate.ridesMap removeAnnotation: ano]; [appDelegate release]; I must be trying to access the MKMapView of my other view incorrectly?
