  • Trouble installing Matlab

    So whenever I try to install Matlab, the first image appears, but then goes away and that's the end of it. Here's what I'm doing- user@host$> cd ~/mathworks_downloads user@host$> unzip matlab_R2012a_student_glnx86_installer.zip user@host$> ./install The Matlab logo and image pop up here for a few seconds before going away. This is the output I receive- Could not find JRE for glnxa64. Trying glnx86. Preparing installation files ... Installing ...     the goal is to start with ['a','b','c'] and end up with {'a'={'b'={'c'={}}}} so, getting my bearings, i did this: ruby-1.8.7-p174 ['a','b','c'].inject({}){|h,v| h.update(v = {})} = {"a"={}, "b"={}, "c"={}} and then figured, if i actually pass on the result hash, it will recurse and nest, but: ruby-1.8.7-p174 ['a','b','c'].inject({}){|h,v| h.update(v = {}); h[v]} = {} why is this? any idea how to achieve the desired result in an elegant one-liner?

I tried unitils.org , but cannot find a sample like this , it just directly inject the EntityManagerFactory to the TestCast , not what I want ...

    I understand that in order to sum array elements in Ruby one can use the inject method, i.e. array = [1,2,3,4,5]; puts array.inject(0, &:+) But how do I sum the properties of objects within an object array e.g. There's an array of objects and each object has a property "cash" for example. So I want to sum their cash balances into one total. Something like... array.cash.inject(0, &:+) (but this doesn't work) I realise I could probably make a new array composed only of the property cash and sum this, but I'm looking for a cleaner method if possible!

  • Inject Html Into a View Programmatically

    Hi, I have a tricky problem and I'm not sure where in the view rendering process to attempt this. I am building a simple blog/CMS in MVC and I would like to inject a some html (preferably a partial view) into the page if the user is logged in as an admin (and therefore has edit privileges). I obviously could add render partials to master pages etc. But in my system master pages/views are the "templates" of the CMS and therefore should not contain CMS specific <% % markup. I would like to hook in to some part of the rendering process and inject the html myself. Does anyone have any idea how to do this in MVC? Where would be the best point, ViewPage, ViewEngine? If I wanted to inject the value of a Windsor property into a service, I would do something like this: <properties> <importantIntegerProperty>666</importantIntegerProperty> </properties> <component id="myComponent" service="MyApp.IService, MyApp" type="MyApp.Service, MyApp" > <parameters> <importantInteger>#{importantIntegerProperty}</importantInteger> </parameters> </component> However, what I'd really like to do is take the value represented by #{importantIntegerProperty} from an app settings variable which might be defined like this: <appSettings> <add key="importantInteger" value="666"/> </appSettings> EDIT: To clarify; I realise that this is not natively possible with Windsor and the David Hayden article that sliderhouserules refers to is actually about his own (David Hayden's) IoC container, not Windsor. I'm surely not the first person to have this problem so what I'd like to know is how have other people solved this issue?

The totals are for all rows above the summary row, not just the previous six. I've tried doing it with grouping but that only shows the totals for the group and displays the totals rows above the actual rows. I would prefer to use a DataGrid for this if possible, but all solutions are welcome.

For my project, I need to inject an IMapperEngine as part of object construction using StructureMap so that we can mock the mapper in unit tests so we can't use the static mapper. I also need to support configuring AutoMapper Profiles. My question is how can I configure the StructureMap registry so that it can supply an instance of IMappingEngine when an instance of MyService is constructed.
